Celebrating the incredible legacy of . I had the honour of being in her presence as I auditioned for a scholarship for her school. You knew she was in the room before she entered, her energy and presence was felt beyond the walls. I also had the honour of performing Lamentation after loosing a special friend, Robert Cohan who worked with Graham for many years. The company has proudly performed two other works, Errand into the Maze and Deep Song. Thank you Martha for all you gave us. 💙 photo by .tappon

"A new work from Bruce, now 80, is an event in itself" - The Arts Desk ★★★★★ for Modern Milestones

The wonderful coverage continues!

If modern and post-modern dance has a reputation for being earnest, then this latest curation of British and American pieces shows another face. For while there is rigour in Yolande Yorke-Edgell’s selection for her fine small company, there is also fun, colour and even louche behaviour. And for al...

"Yorke Dance Project, the brainchild of Yolande Yorke-Edgell, has continued its slow-burning rise through the British dance scene with this programme of five inspirational works, and one must acknowledge the support of The Royal Ballet in presenting the company at the Linbury Theatre, an appropriate recognition of the elite quality of the YDP output."

A lovely review from Graham Watts in Gramilano! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Graham Watts sees Yorke Dance Project's mixed programme that took him on a fascinating journey through some Modern Milestones.

What are the Modern Milestones that our 2025-26 touring programme refers to? ⬇️

YDP Artistic Director Yolande Yorke-Edgell spoke to London Unattached about the significance of the name:

"[2025] It's one-hundred years of the Martha Graham dance company; 2025 marked one-hundred years of Bob Cohan’s birth. And then it just so happened I had this interaction with Christopher Bruce and he said he was turning 80. It seemed the perfect fit.

And then I looked into Bella Lewitzky’s company [Dance Theater in Los Angeles] and it would have been the 60th anniversary [the company disbanded in 1997].

I’d also started mentoring Liam Francis, and he’d just started his own company, so it was like a lovely bridge from the beginning to the present. One-hundred years is very significant.”
