After a life shaped by sport, Tom’s world changed when he suffered a severe stroke.

A former Army PT instructor and international squash player, Tom was left with limited mobility and unable to return to work. But thanks to a £3,000 ABF grant towards a bespoke wheelchair trike, he’s rediscovered his independence and love of being active. 💚

The impact has been life‑changing, allowing Tom to even completed the 2025 Edinburgh Marathon alongside former Army colleagues using his trike.

We’re proud to support Scotty’s Little Soldiers with a £50,000 grant, helping bereaved children from Army families navigate grief and rebuild confidence. 💚

Through its Smiles, Support and Strides programmes, the charity provides emotional support, respite activities, educational help and opportunities for more than 500 children to connect with others who understand their experiences.
