UK Youth is a leading national youth charity that reaches 693,000 young people every year through the largest network of youth clubs and projects across the UK. 22,000 children and young people also attend our outdoor activity centre, Avon Tyrrell, in the New Forest every year. Since 1911 we have been supporting young people through a range of innovative programmes to gain life-skills that build c
onfidence, resilience and make them more employable. Education happens in many settings, not just at school. UK Youth offers young people a vital chance to learn and succeed outside mainstream education. We support young people to:
• gain nationally recognised awards and qualifications
• take action to improve their communities
• learn to support and educate others
• organise national events and make their voices heard
• make recommendations about youth services
• experience the benefits of healthy activities and outdoor learning. With 767,000 people under 25 unemployed in the UK, the work we do has never been more important.
