Tigania West Constituency
Meru Ciunty, Kenya.
Pescious.
On Hon. John Mutunga:
Let me borrow Kanz Precious statement if it’s acceptable within respectable boundaries. “He is sharp in Parliament , visible, astute, and contributes nationally”. 100% agree that debate alone does not fill potholes, pay school fees, or bring visible development. A surprising harsh judgment against Hon John Mutunga is that our Tigania West Constituents measure leadership by tangible impact , lwol! and that expectation is so rea I tell you ! But one fact being ignored by critics and I have no clue why it is so is that In Kenya, development is not always determined by one individual whether an MP or anyone ! There are other players involved, these players at times are responsible for political casualties in someone political career. But one thing I can say, not everyone will benefit from a sitting MP or MCA, we cannot hang a politician for our relatives or our own personal unkept promises by Hon Mutunga. This includes road through our Ngathuine-nthingaburi village. In fact as loving caring members of constituency we should be asking Hon Mutunga what can we do to contribute to areas that have been neglected 😂😂but that does not excuse Hon Mutunga the sense of responsible stewardship as the Constituency chief accounting Officer. So there those aspirants who have already started promising things now better be careful less you turn into a false political prophet, it’s too early for activists and aspiring politicians to start a fresh political career with lies. Please wait ! Tell people something else ! Don’t use Hon John Mutunga name to build your popularity ! It’s manifestos that educate people about what you are good at. Unmask your manifestos early so those able to read can start reading your manifesto early. Let me offer one example ; When an MP is not politically aligned or seen as a sycophant, flows of funds and projects shift. That is reality.
From the Tigania heritage: our leaders must retain their mark. We don’t fit in anyone’s pocket to get a road done. Tupigeni vumbi yetu na hesima! We give birth to leaders but rarely nurture them beyond the constituency. This is not an excuse. It is context.
Potential leaders are often undermined; political futures cut short, whether in church, Parliament, or school boardrooms. The trend exists, and it is time we acknowledge it. Ask ourselves what did we do with Hon M’Wongo, Benjamin Ndubsi, Kilemi Mwiria, Karithi, and now Hon Kanyuithia ? When other regions are building their own , we give birth and we slaughter one another. Will Hon Mutunga become our next political sacrificial Lamb to pay way for another Lamb in -politics waiting room??
We can demand accountability without hatred. We can critique performance without propaganda. Challenges our leaders should be taken as feedback not reasons for destruction. This is not a defence. It is balance. We must separate:
• Parliamentary competence
• Local development performance
• Political dynamics beyond an MP’s control
I will not join emotional mobs. I will not hate because others hate. I will not praise blindly either.
I agree with Kanze 👇🏾
