FROM DIALOGUE TO ACTION: ADVANCING AFRICA’S CLEAN COOKING TRANSITION 🌍🔥
The African Clean Cooking Transition Forum (A.C.C.T© Forum) convened policymakers, development partners, technology leaders and energy stakeholders at the African Union to address one of Africa’s most urgent energy-access challenges: clean cooking.
The message was clear: Africa needs action, collaboration and locally driven solutions.
Three priorities emerged:
🔹 Regional Collaboration: Building stronger African cooperation around practical clean cooking solutions, including LPG as an important transition fuel where appropriate.
🔹 Data, Technology & Accountability: Leveraging AI, digital technology and high-integrity data to track investments, improve accountability and measure real impact.
🔹 Women as Co-Creators: Moving beyond seeing women simply as beneficiaries. Women must be actively involved in designing, shaping and implementing the clean cooking solutions that affect their lives.
With nearly 1 billion people in Africa still lacking access to clean cooking, the challenge demands more than conversation. It demands coordinated implementation, investment and African-led solutions.
The A.C.C.T© Forum is a call to convey, collaborate and turn dialogue into measurable impact.
