Our wonderful friends at SMAG Art are back with another exhibition, showcasing the talents of local artists while raising much-needed funds for local charities.

SMAG Art has been incredibly generous in supporting GRACE over the past couple of years, alongside so many other worthwhile community causes. We’re truly grateful for all they do. 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today for 𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘. 𝗔 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀 🧡♻️
It was such a enjoyable day learning together, sharing ideas and trying something different.

A very special thank you to House of Colour Ann Orton for sharing her knowledge, time and expertise with us, and to Victoria from Cotton & Cogs for bringing her wonderful alterations expertise and showing us how pieces can be adapted and given a new lease of life. ✂️👗

And a heartfelt thank you to our 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀, both those who were there today and those working behind the scenes. Many weeks of thought, preparation and teamwork went into bringing the event together, and we’re so grateful to everyone who played a part. 🧡

An exciting addition to Sunday's lineup, and a reason it falls this month.

The insanely talented Victoria Morris of is joining both masterclasses. She is an experienced sewist with a passion for sustainability, and she will be on hand to tell you what can be altered and what can be mended, whether it is something you have brought with you or something you have just found on the rails.

It is a useful thing to have in the room. Most of us have walked away from something good because of a long sleeve or a missing button, and most of those are a twenty minute job for someone who knows what they are doing.

We are running these sessions as part of Secondhand September and during Sustainable Fashion Week , which is the right home for them. Keeping clothes out of landfill is not really about buying a better new thing. It is about wearing what already exists and knowing enough to make it work.

Bring: one item you own and never reach for. Between the two of us, Victoria and I will tell you whether it can be styled, altered, mended, or passed on to someone who will love it.
