GRACE - connecting communities, changing lives Supporting individuals and families in vulnerable situations with clothing and the basic living essentials they need. Registered charity no: 1169544.

Supporting individuals and families with clothing and everyday living essentials they need. Set up on 30 October 2015, to respond to the growing refugee crisis, to send aid to those in need along the migration route. We send clothing donations and essential supplies to (but not limited to) France, Greece and Syria. We also support similar groups and charities with their projects in the UK and beyo

nd. We are a strong and motivated team from the local community with representation from all walks of life. We have run larger-scale collection and packing events from local community buildings (such as schools and the Town Hall) as well as helping other local groups to fulfil their projects in between. We continue to help local refugees and people facing destitution by supporting local charities and community services through links with Citizens UK, AFRIL, Lewisham Brighter Beginnings, Anti-Human Trafficking, Homestart, FoodBank. Our address: 332 Lee High Road. Shop opening times Monday-Friday 9:00am-3pm
Saturday- 10am-2pm


Please check with us before dropping off donations. We are networked with other aid groups. We are further developing links with local charities and larger organisations so that no donation goes to waste. We organise and take part in community events to fund our projects and create awareness to our work. Whilst we welcome free speech, derogatory remarks regarding the issue will be removed as we are here to help and not judge.

Just one week to go until the Manor House Gardens Festival on Saturday 20th June! 🎉

We’ll be there from 12pm and would love for you to come and say hello.

Find out more about the work we do at GRACE. We’ll also have a selection of lovely pre-loved (and some new), items available on our stall.

The festival is a fantastic day out, with live music, street food, community and craft stalls, a children’s funfair, and plenty more to enjoy.

We hope to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones too!

Our shop will also be open as usual from 10am to 2pm, so why not visit both?

A huge thank you to the 9th Lewisham North Cubs and Scouts for welcoming one of our wonderful volunteers over the past few weeks.

The groups are currently working towards their World Challenge Badge, which encourages young people to learn about the world from both local and international perspectives.

As part of the sessions, the Cubs and Scouts learned about the work of GRACE and how we support people within our local community. One of our volunteers also shared their woggle-making skills with the Cubs and Scouts, demonstrating the process and helping them create their own traditional leather woggles.

We are delighted that the groups will be supporting GRACE through fundraising and a toiletries collection later this summer. Every contribution helps us continue supporting individuals and families facing hardship within our community.

A big thank you to the leaders, Cubs and Scouts for their warm welcome. We look forward to hearing how their fundraising progresses over the coming months.

Back in April, we had the pleasure of speaking with Year 5 pupils from The Federation of Barnehurst Schools as part of their topic, The Power of Me.

Since then, the children, with the support of their parents, carers and teachers, have been busy collecting toiletries for people facing hardship in our local community.

We were delighted to receive this wonderful donation and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved. 🌟
