Make London Great Again ™
™ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧
Great London Party (GLP) by Mo London is a centrist, pro-growth movement to deliver a safer, cleaner, more affordable capital. The Great London Party (GLP) was created to give Londoners a bold, credible alternative to traditional party politics. Founded by Mohamed Aboshanab, widely known as Mo London, the party reflects a vision of London

as a global capital that is safe, prosperous, and inclusive. Mo London is a UK-registered lawyer, international consultant, and entrepreneur who has lived, worked, and advised across London for years. From his base in Canary Wharf, he has seen both the extraordinary potential of London’s people and the everyday frustrations caused by bureaucracy, waste, and lack of accountability. On the economy, the party supports lower, simpler taxes, smart regulation, and backing small businesses—the lifeblood of London’s boroughs. On housing, GLP calls for faster planning and innovative building models to deliver more homes for ordinary Londoners. On transport, it promotes a reliable, integrated, and affordable system that works for everyone, not just commuters into Zone 1. Public safety is a core priority. GLP believes every resident deserves to feel secure in their neighbourhoods, with visible policing and tough action on antisocial behaviour. The party also supports firm but fair immigration policies that reflect London’s diversity while ensuring public services are protected. On climate and environment, GLP rejects empty targets and instead focuses on practical steps that cut bills and improve air quality. Mo London brings a unique mix of global insight and local action. His career advising entrepreneurs, migrants, and families on legal and financial issues has given him a deep understanding of what holds people back—and what helps them thrive. He has built international ventures, hosted community podcasts, and engaged with thousands of Londoners in both English and Arabic, bridging communities that often feel unheard. The GLP’s slogan, “Make London Great Again,” captures the mission: to restore London’s place as a world-leading capital while making it more affordable, fairer, and safer for everyone. It is not just a political party, but a movement to re-imagine how City Hall works—putting delivery before ideology, results before excuses, and people before politics.

London 2025 needs straight talk and real delivery.

Safety: too many families feel unsafe, charge rates are low, youth services are thin. Housing: rents and deposits are crushing key workers; good schemes get stuck in planning while poor-quality builds slip through. Transport: ageing kit, delays, fragile finances, and weak outer-borough links. Small business: rates, energy and red tape hollow out our high streets. Inequality: opportunity clusters in a few postcodes while others fall behind. Homelessness: rough sleeping and temporary accommodation keep rising. And when clean-air policy lands without practical alternatives, people tune out.

I’m Mo London. My agenda is delivery, not theatre.

1. Safer streets you can feel and measure: visible policing in hotspots, youth clubs and apprenticeships that actually place people into work, and a public monthly charge-rate dashboard by borough.

2. Homes for Londoners: fast-track high-quality, mid-rise, transit-linked builds; unlock small/public land with delivery milestones; a Key Worker Homes program with discounted rents and rent-to-own; Vacancy-to-Value to bring empty homes and upper floors back into use.

3. Transport that works: fix-first signals, lifts and pinch points; protect pay-as-you-go caps where possible; new rapid bus corridors and safer cycling; park-and-ride and better night services for shift workers; stabilise TfL with smarter advertising and land value partnerships.

4. Back the high street: one-stop rates/energy help, simple outdoor trading rules, 20-minute high-street pilots, and a London Procurement Pledge that opens contracts to SMEs and social enterprises.

5. Level up every borough: Borough Opportunity Deals co-funding skills, childcare and local transport tied to jobs. Short, employer-led training in tech, trades, green retrofits and care—paid on placement results.

6. From homelessness to housing: scale Housing First with mental-health and addiction support; convert suitable empty offices and retail into family-ready homes quickly and to a high standard.

7. Clean air with common sense: scrappage scaled up, cargo-bike and e-van hubs, micro-depots for last-mile, and school/hospital clean-air zones first—measured street by street.

8. Planning that says yes to quality: clear citywide design rules, green-lighting community assets alongside homes.

9. Open, honest City Hall: a monthly London Scorecard on crime, housing starts, transport delays, rough sleeping and SME growth; quarterly citizens’ assemblies to stress-test big moves before rollout.

One term goal: safer streets, 50,000+ transit-linked homes started with a major share for key workers, quicker and more reliable journeys, busier high streets, cleaner air delivered fairly, and fewer families in temporary accommodation.

This is how we make London great again—by fixing what’s broken, building what’s missing, and doing it with Londoners.
