Friends of Stockwell Skatepark is a community association concerned with the protection and promotion of Stockwell Skatepark, an original 1970′s concrete skateboarding facility situated on Stockwell Park Walk in London, SW9. Sometimes also known as ‘Brixton Beach’ this highly popular free public space is at the heart of the local community and the borough of Lambeth, one of the most densely popula

ted and socially diverse areas in Europe. Despite the valuable contribution the park makes to social wellbeing it is currently entirely unfunded, It is in need of surface repairs, and its legal status is uncertain. We believe it should be properly maintained and protected from development.
