Clarion Housing

Clarion Housing Clarion provides homes for those who need them most. We’re the UK’s biggest housing association. Our house rules are clear.

Clarion Housing Group formed in 2016, following the merger between two of the country’s largest housing associations, Affinity Sutton and Circle Housing Group. With over 125,000 homes we will use our strength and scale to create opportunities that change peoples’ lives. We are also one of the biggest housebuilders in the country, and are set to build 50,000 high quality homes of all tenures during

the next ten years, as we remain committed to helping to tackle the housing shortage. Two thirds of these will be affordable homes, as we continue to help those in housing need. In addition to new homes, we transform existing communities through sustained regeneration, help people to access employment and training opportunities and give young people a better start in life. After taking part in Clarion Futures' Start Your Own Cleaning Business course, Birmingham residents Chimbuchi and Jerry turned their idea into a thriving business, Peak Shine.

The course gave them practical guidance, tips and the confidence to take their business from an idea to reality, with ongoing support helping them navigate each stage of the journey.

With the energy price cap recently increasing, you may be thinking more about your energy costs and what this could mean for your monthly budget 🏠⚡

As the cost of everyday essentials continues to rise, higher energy bills can make budgeting feel even more difficult.

We recently visited Lianne, one of our Money Guidance Officers, at the JobsPlus Mothers Brunch event in Borehamwood, where she talked through what she does and how the team supports residents with managing their finances.

During our 125th year celebrations, we shared the story of one of our residents, Ermais, and the support he received from Esther, one of our Employment Support Officers at Clarion Futures 🤝

After arriving in the UK as a refugee and raising his son on his own, Ermais faced a challenging time. With support from Clarion Futures, he was able to access practical help and employment guidance to move forward.

We’re pleased to share that Ermais has now secured a permanent job, and his son has started nursery, a great example of the real impact the right support can have.
