As we recognize this September, we're thinking of the NICU families supported by Ronald McDonald House programs around the world ❤️

Families like baby Grayson's.

Grayson was born early at 33 weeks and needed immediate surgery and specialized care. For nearly a month while Grayson was in the NICU, his parents, Paige and Jordan, stayed just steps away at Ronald McDonald House Louisville

"Being at Ronald McDonald House allowed us to be with Grayson in the NICU as much as possible," Paige says. "It was the biggest blessing to us on our journey."

Jeremy, Jessica, and their three children stayed at Ronald McDonald House Atlanta for over 60 nights while their son participated in a feeding therapy program nearby.

At Ronald McDonald House Tampa Bay, Inc., Olivia and her team helped families get back-to-school ready with fresh haircuts. We're grateful to community members like Olivia who give back in meaningful ways, helping families feel supported and experience moments of normalcy during challenging times.

Families staying at our Moorfields House recently enjoyed coming together for a shared meal and some time away from the hospital. 💙

With their children receiving treatment at The Richard Desmond Children's Eye Centre, these moments offer an opportunity to relax, connect with other families and find support from those on a similar journey.

It's always wonderful to see families building friendships and supporting one another during their stay.

While Harlow and Hadley were in the NICU, the Rardon family found comfort and support at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri. Now, the twins have made it a tradition to give back by volunteering at the House each year, even spending part of their birthday this year packing lunches and preparing a meal for families staying at the House.

The team at our Moorfields House is making great progress with our 79 Mile Mission this July! 👟🎉

Together, we've already clocked up an amazing 66 miles, with team members getting their steps in across London's parks and beyond.

A special shout-out to Francesca, who managed to add some miles while on holiday. Not a bad view for a walk either! 🌞🌊 Her trek took her along the beautiful coastline of Mount Conero Beach.

We're nearly at our target, and every mile helps raise awareness and vital funds for the families supported by Ronald McDonald House UK!

This July, the Moorfields House team will be taking on the 79 Mile Mission, walking 79 miles to support families during these challenging times.

This week, Moorfields House had the pleasure of welcoming a very special family with a longstanding connection to us 💙

Dad, David, was once a patient at Moorfields himself and stayed here as a child. During that time, his family kindly supported our charity through fundraising, and their family name can still be seen today on a butterfly on our Giving Tree 🦋

Now, years later, David has returned as an adult and a father, bringing his newborn baby to stay at Moorfields House while attending an assessment at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

It’s been a truly special full circle moment. The family shared how impressed they are with the changes since David’s childhood stay, especially the smart technology, which they found incredibly helpful during their visit.

Stories like this remind us just how special our community is 💫

You will notice new colours, new words and new visuals. But what matters most has not changed. Our commitment to the families in our community, and the way we support them when they need us most.
When a child is in hospital, families do not just visit. They stay. We see it every day in our House. Parents and carers who are exhausted, scared, hopeful, grieving and incredibly determined, often all at once. Our modernised brand, including our new name and look, has been shaped around that reality. This week at Moorfields House, we celebrated St George’s Day and Shakespeare’s Birthday on 23 April! 🎭

Families got involved in some creative arts and crafts, making handmade decorations along the way, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream inspired lanterns using recycled materials.

It was a lovely way to celebrate creativity, storytelling and time together. ✨
