And we’re off!

Last week, 15 parents came together at Brookhill Children’s Centre for the start of EPEC’s Being a Parent, with two newly trained Parent Group Leaders leading their very first course.

A powerful first session of connection, honesty and shared experiences.

Childhood begins at home.

Yet for too many families across London, home is not a place of safety and opportunity. Instead, it’s a constant source of stress, instability, and poor health.

As one parent told us: “It’s about having space for him to grow.”

Next week, we’ll share new insights from families supported by Home-Start across London, exploring what the housing crisis really means for parents, babies and young children.

Because a home is more than four walls. It shapes childhood. Every child deserves a safe place to grow up. Watch this space!

It takes a village to raise a child 💜🧡 Be part of the village that nurtures, empowers and changes lives. Selena is running 10k to raise funds for HSG: “This cause is deeply personal to me. I was first introduced to Home-Start Greenwich by my health visitor when I was struggling to breastfeed my 6 week old daughter. I was told about a breastfeeding group, and the support I received there made a real difference to me. It gave me reassurance, comfort, and the opportunity to meet other mums who understood what I was going through. That support helped me feel less alone and led to friendships that grew through stay and play groups and community activities.
