The Write to Heal - Women’s Empowerment program which ran from September last year to now, has been an incredible experience. As we wrap up this phase, we’re proud of what’s been achieved and excited about what comes next.

We are now preparing to expand into more communities, with a longer-term vision and greater reach. We already have trained facilitators ready to deliver impactful, much-needed programmes.

One of our participants, a female GP, provided particularly valuable insight into the real needs within our communities. Her perspective has helped shape our understanding and will directly inform the next phase of our work.

Something powerful has been building over the past six months.

Through workshops and shared conversations, women came together to heal, reflect and reconnect with their voices.

From that, Rise Together was created — a space for women to feel seen, heard and supported.

And it didn’t stop there.

After the event, we came together again to shape what comes next for our community.

A new project is coming soon. Follow to stay updated.

Join us for our Project Development (Co-Design) Workshop.

We’re coming together to shape what’s next. We want to hear your voice and understand what you want to see in your community.

As we prepare for our next round of funding, you will help decide the direction. What gets created will come directly from what the community asks for. Come through and be part of shaping something real. See you there!

Building genuine connections goes far beyond a simple hello.

Our rise Together event was filled with powerful stories of resilience — real journeys from rock bottom to remarkable transformation. It was inspiring to witness, but even more meaningful to be part of a space where people uplift, support, and celebrate one another.

From discovering local creators to experiencing unexpected moments of healing, this event truly exceeded expectations.

Already looking forward to the Faith in Business gathering this summer. ✨

A few moments from Rise Together 🤍

Still thinking about the conversations, the stories, and the energy in the room. It’s rare to be in a space where people are so open, supportive, and genuinely connected.

From powerful journeys to small, meaningful interactions — it all mattered.

Grateful to have been part of it. Already looking forward to our next event.

Everyone walked in as strangers…
and in just a few hours, something shifted.

We listened.
We shared.
We understood each other in ways that are rare.

“This is outstandingly unusual.”

That’s what made this moment so powerful.

Real women. Real stories. Real connection.

This is what women’s empowerment actually looks like.

💛

What stood out to you the most?

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Rise Together women’s event in Hackney — it was an amazing day and so powerful to be in the room together.

As a follow-up, we’re inviting you to our Co-Design Workshop. We’re preparing to apply for another round of funding, and this time we want to go deeper — really listening, really building, and creating something meaningful with the community.

We want your ideas, your voice, and your input on what we do next.

Today, I had the pleasure of attending “How to Live Well Regardless”, a brilliant and empowering event hosted by Lupus Hub CIC and led by Celena McDaniel.

As an organisation, we always value the opportunity to support and show up for other community groups it’s genuinely uplifting to be in spaces like this. The event was truly inspiring, and I walked away with so much to reflect on and apply. I even won two of the raffle prizes!

The facilitators were:

Sekhem Arts: Energetic, inclusive breathwork, chair yoga and a mini dance session that got everyone moving.
* Breadline London: Practical, empowering advice on mindset and budgeting.
* Ebi Fusion CIC: Simple, nourishing approach to magnesium-rich food prep—and the salad tasted great.

It was a great event!

Better days are coming.

Not because everything suddenly becomes perfect,
but because you’re learning how to carry what once felt too heavy.

Healing doesn’t always look like big breakthroughs.
Sometimes it’s just getting through the day.
Sometimes it’s choosing to keep going.
Sometimes it’s finally allowing yourself to feel.
