France has announced plans to end its reliance on US data analytics firm Palantir, replacing the company’s software within its domestic intelligence service with tools developed by French technology company ChapsVision.

Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu said the move is part of a broader effort to ‘reduce dependence on foreign technology’ and strengthen French and European digital sovereignty. He argued that France must develop its own AI and data-processing capabilities rather than rely on systems controlled by other countries.

The transition is expected to take several years, as Palantir’s existing contract remains in force while the new system is implemented. Palantir is controversially known for its ties to the Israeli military and US immigration enforcement (ICE).

In response to Lecornu’s statement, Palantir said its contract with France’s domestic intelligence agency remains active and that it will continue supporting the agency during the transition period.

HEIST, a Berlin-based news outlet, reported today that Berlin Mayor Kai Wegner has signed an agreement with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), one of Israel’s largest state-owned weapons manufacturers, to establish a joint aerospace and defence innovation centre in the German capital.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Wegner and IAI CEO Boaz Levy at Berlin’s ILA air show. The project aims to deepen cooperation between Berlin and Israel’s ‘defence and aerospace sectors’, with Wegner describing the city as the ‘ideal location’ for a new innovation hub.

IAI produces combat aircraft, drones, missiles, and missile defence systems — many of which are deployed in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Joy, 34, is one of three activists known as the KS3 who were arrested in April after a direct action at Keysight Technologies in Hampshire that caused £2.4 million in damage.

Keysight supplies components used by the US military and Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems, complicit in the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Joy has since been remanded to HMP Bronzefield.

According to prisoner support group Da3m Support, Joy was placed in segregation after protesting the treatment of a mentally ill prisoner, who has since been transferred to a healthcare unit. They say she was subsequently subjected to 21 days of cellular confinement in the prison’s segregation unit.

Da3m Support also says that prison officer Charlyann Dennehy denied Joy access to prescribed medication and mocked her accent and appearance before refusing to provide the medicine.

Supporters are calling for an investigation into the officer’s conduct and treatment of Joy, and are encouraging people to contact HMP Bronzefield via its hotline on 01784 425690.

French authorities say an Israeli firm has interfered in elections in Scotland, New York, France, Angola and Togo through networks of fake social media accounts targeting politicians critical of Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

France’s disinformation watchdog, Viginum, found that the Israel-based company BlackCore coordinated hundreds of accounts to post negative comments about Scottish First Minister John Swinney ahead of Scotland’s May parliamentary elections. Swinney, one of the few UK politicians to describe Israel’s campaign in Gaza as genocide, was a primary target, along with the Scottish National Party (SNP) and the Scottish government.

According to Viginum, BlackCore used at least 256 coordinated accounts to publish around 1,400 comments between January and May. Swinney was targeted 652 times, compared with 338 mentions of the SNP and 112 of the Scottish government.

BlackCore describes itself as an influence and cyber operations company that helps governments and political campaigns shape narratives through advanced information warfare strategies.

Labour MP Melanie Ward has revealed that at least 32 charities in England and Wales sent £28 million to Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank over the past five years. Working with human rights researchers, she found that these donations may also have benefited from around £5.6 million in UK Gift Aid, effectively subsidised by taxpayers.

Ward argued that funding settlements should not be considered charitable activity and raised the issue directly with Prime Minister Keir Starmer. In response, Starmer said that Israeli settlements are a ‘flagrant breach of international law’ and that no UK charity should be supporting them. The UK government has since tasked the Charity Commission with investigating charities linked to settlements.

The findings come amid growing scrutiny of UK ties to settlements and recent sanctions targeting groups connected to settler violence. Ward says authorities have been aware of concerns for nearly a year, citing cases where British charities donated millions of pounds to institutions based in West Bank settlements. Such funding helps sustain and expand settlements built on stolen Palestinian land, while settler violence and settlement expansion continue to intensify.

Breaking: The court of appeal has ruled the government's proscription of PalestineAction as a terror organisation is lawful.

High Court judges ruled in February that then-Home Secretary Yvette Cooper's decision to ban the group under the Terrorism Act was unlawful, following a legal challenge from its co-founder Huda Ammori.

Palestine Action has remained banned since then to allow for further legal arguments and give the government time to consider an appeal.

But at a hearing today (15 June), five Court of Appeal judges overturned the High Court decision.

The proscription made it a criminal offence to belong to or support Palestine Action, punishable by up to 14 years in prison.

Thousands of people have been arrested at demonstrations in the months since the ban came into force in July last year.

A new study has found that Labour’s stance on Gaza is a major factor behind the party’s loss of support among progressive voters. More than half of former Labour supporters who now plan to vote for another centre-left or left-wing party said the government's response to Israel’s genocide in Gaza influenced their decision.

The findings suggest that Gaza has become one of the most significant political issues driving disillusionment with Labour, particularly among younger and more progressive voters. Researchers say the issue has contributed to a broader erosion of trust in the party’s leadership.

For pro-Palestinian campaigners, the study is further evidence that public anger over Gaza is carrying electoral consequences. As pressure mounts on the government over its position on Israel, support for Palestinian rights is increasingly shaping political loyalties across the UK.

On June 14, the 'Great Israeli Real Estate' event is due to come to an undisclosed location in London to auction stolen Palestinian land to the highest bidder.

The event openly and proudly promotes the sale of Palestinian land in settlements like 'Gush Etzion' in the occupied West Bank, which Britain has condemned as illegal. The event also promotes the sale of land throughout historic Palestine, in cities and towns built on the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.

On Tuesday, the International Centre of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) issued a letter to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, and Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Peter Kyle, raising urgent concerns over the London edition of the event.

A formal letter was also sent to the Metropolitan Police, calling for an immediate investigation into the legality of the event and those associated with it under UK law.

Stolen land sales have been foundational to the Israeli settler state. For over 100 years, such sales have contributed to the fragmentation and dispossession of the Palestinian people

In a statement released by PYM (Palestinian Youth Movement), over 100 signatories of different organizations call on the UK Government to cancel the event immediately.

Thousands of agricultural products grown in Israeli settlements are reaching European consumers labelled simply as ‘Product of Israel’, according to a new report that has investigated widespread mislabelling of goods originating in occupied Palestinian territory.

Researchers examined more than 30,000 export records and found that over 17% of agricultural shipments bound for Europe contained products from Israeli settlements.

The report argues that retailers and food companies are misleading consumers by failing to distinguish between goods produced within Israel’s ‘internationally recognised borders’ and those originating in illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank and Golan Heights.
Nearly one in five shipments destined for EU countries reportedly contained settlement products.

The findings are likely to intensify calls for stricter enforcement of European labelling rules. EU law requires products from Israeli settlements to be clearly identified as such, allowing consumers to make informed purchasing decisions and preventing settlement goods from being marketed as Israeli products.

Students across Germany are winning a series of victories in their campaign for Palestinian solidarity, with student councils at several universities backing motions calling for academic boycotts of Israeli institutions and greater scrutiny of university ties to Israel. The latest vote in Leipzig is being seen as part of a growing wave of campus activism that has accelerated in recent months.

The movement is particularly notable given Germany’s traditionally hostile stance toward the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. Despite political pressure and accusations aimed at pro-Palestinian activism, students have continued organising, building support for demands that universities end partnerships with institutions they view as complicit in Israel’s actions against Palestinians.

Activists describe the recent votes as a breakthrough for Palestinian solidarity on German campuses and evidence that public opinion among students is shifting. While most resolutions are not legally binding, they represent an important step toward institutional accountability and demonstrate growing support for Palestinian rights within German academia.
