Today we were honoured to celebrate our Armed Forces community by taking part in the Merton Armed Forces day parade in Wimbledon Village. We were joined by various organisations such as the Police Cadet, Fire Cadets and honoured to be led by the Coldstream Guards.

BZ to all who took part and showed their support despite the hot weather!!

Hi, just a reminder tomorrow is Armed Forces Day. Please have your cadets at the unit between 0945 and 1000. We are parading in PCS with caps so please ensure uniforms are ironed and boots are polished. We will be taking public transport so please make sure your cadets have their Oyster cards just in case they are needed. Please bring water although it will be provided just a precaution in this very hot weather.

On Friday it was our first timing boating as a unit . Teaching our new cadet, refreshing our older cadets. Back at it again next Friday!!!

On Friday we had our monthly divisions and had lots of awards:
AC Kauan was awarded his BTEC Level 1
CDT Brooke, CFC Lucy, OC Adrijus, and CDT Alex were awarded with their camp craft proficiency
CDT Brooke and CDT Alex were both promoted to CFC
CFC Lucy was promoted to OC
Lastly, our eldest cadet POC Katie was promoted to PPO as she turned 18 over the weekend, and staying on with our staff side of the unit

On Sunday we took part of Mitcham Carnival. We took part in the parade and did a skip jump routine to show our community!! This was a great opportunity for us to be seen in the community and get new cadets!

On Friday we had our Unit Review our reviewing officer Cdr Chittock SCC (RNR), along with Lt Cdr Purcell SCC (RNR) and WO2 SCC (RNR) Murray were also in attendance. We had the pleasure of the London Area Chaplain .scc . A great evening was had by all culminating in hard earned qualifications awarded to some of the cadets.
