โšฝ๐Ÿ’œ BELIEVE IN HER GAME ๐Ÿ’œโšฝ

As the new season of puts a womenโ€™s football team in the spotlight, weโ€™re launching a campaign that is close to our hearts.

At Play it Forward in Zambia, 58 girls and young women show up each week ready to learn, grow, compete and pursue their ambitions.

But not having a supportive sports bra or reliable period products can mean missing training, sitting out a match or playing in discomfort.

No girl should have to miss out because she lacks these essentials.

Through Believe in Her Game, we want to provide every one of our 58 players with a supportive sports bra and enough period products to last a year.

Because football is more than a game. Itโ€™s confidence, friendship, education, healthcare and opportunity.

Your support could help provide:
๐Ÿ’œ ยฃ5 - period products for one player for a month
๐Ÿ’œ ยฃ20 - a supportive sports bra for one player
๐Ÿ’œ ยฃ50 - a sports bra and six months of period products
๐Ÿ’œ ยฃ100 - full-year support for one player

Donate today: https://play-itforward.org/believeinhergame/

If you canโ€™t donate, sharing this post could help us reach someone who can.

Together, we can help girls stay comfortable, confident and in the game.

Marathons are not just about endurance, they are powerful platforms for networking and building meaningful connections!!

This yearโ€™s series was truly magical. Our guest from the UK enjoyed Livingstone beyond the race. Visiting rural schools in Nakawa and Katubya, and sharing the joy with the children from Mulwani through a football tournament filled with fun, teamwork and connection.
What an unforgettable journey! Our guests from the UK joined the Sexual Reproductive Health session, discovering how sport (football) empowers young people with knowledge, confidence and life skills.

They marvelled at the mighty Victoria Falls, celebrated the launch of Play It Forward โ€˜ A Zambian Storyโ€™ authored by 43 children and Reneta Formoso and concluded it all with a Sunset cruise on the Zambezi river. A magical blend of education, sport, health and the beautiful Zambia culture.

We are delighted to announce that the group raised an outstanding ยฃ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ,๐Ÿ•๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ, for our Community Campus Campaign, bringing us closer to creating a safe, inclusive and inspiring space where children and young people can learn, play and thrive.

Thank you to all who ran with us!

Join us as we share the stories, experiences, and unforgettable moments from their journey.

Last Friday, we officially welcomed a New Cohort of learners to our E-Hub Digital Skills Project during Orientation Day! ๐Ÿ’ปโœจ

The session brought together new students, and Project facilitators to learn more about the program, its expectations, and the exciting digital journey ahead. We are looking forward to seeing these young people grow in confidence, creativity, and digital competence as they participate in the project.

A special thank you to the Comundo Team(Belinda Mautu & Precious Siyasi) from Lusaka for visiting us and joining us on this important occasion. Your support and encouragement mean a lot as we continue creating opportunities for young people through digital skills education.

TIYENDE PAMODZI 2nd TOURNAMENT โšฝ

The action continued with our second Tiyende Pamodzi Tournament held at St. Raphael's School under our partnership with FIFA Foundation.

This tournament brought together local teams that we work with, including Young Maramba Stars, Clinic FC, Ngwenya Stars, Mulala FC, Laysa FC, Yorum FC, St. Raphael's FC, and the Under the Bridge Team. While the football was exciting, the day was about much more than the game. Young people engaged in meaningful discussions on mental health, safeguarding, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), substance abuse, and life skills, creating a safe space for learning, growth, and peer support.

A big thank you to FIFA Foundation, Drug Enforcement Commission, Planned Parenthood Association of Zambia (PPAZ) Clinic, Zambia Police Service, Ministry of Education, The Ministry of Health, Maramba Clinic, Namatama Clinic, Free Haven Community Initiative, community leaders, parents, Prime TV and all the teams that made the day a success.

Together, we are empowering young people with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to thrive both on and off the pitch.

Meet Our Volunteer! โšฝ๐ŸŒ

Please join us in welcoming Max Carr from Cambridge, United Kingdom, to the Play it Forward family!

At 19 years old, Max has joined us for a volunteer placement, bringing with him a passion for football and a heart for community impact. As a tour guide by profession, Max is eager to learn more about football for development while supporting our projects here in Livingstone.

Drawn by both his lifelong love of football and a desire to contribute to meaningful charitable work, Max could not pass up the opportunity to experience one of the world's most beautiful destinations while making a difference.

We are excited to have you with us, Max. Welcome to Zambia!โšฝ

Did you know that we have enrolled students for our Digital Skills Project?

Applications were received, interviews were held, and selections were made. Now, itโ€™s time to get started with learning but before that, we had to let the parents know.

From the last cohort, we made a few important realizations about our E-Hub Digital Skills Project. The most important was that we experienced a high number of dropouts, particularly among female learners. After careful reflection, we concluded that low parent participation and engagement played a significant role.

In that regard, for this upcoming cohort, we took a deliberate step and engaged parents from the very beginning. On 10th July 2026, we hosted the parents and guardians of selected candidates for an informative session on the project. The session gave them a better understanding of what their children would expect during their time with us, while also providing an opportunity for us to hear their concerns and discuss how we can work together as Play it Forward, parents, and students to ensure success.

As an organisation, we understand that empowering young people requires the support of the entire community. By bringing parents on board from the start, we are building a strong support system that will help our learners stay motivated, committed, and ready to complete the programme.

We are excited to welcome this new cohort and look forward to seeing them develop valuable digital skills that will prepare them for future opportunities in education, employment, and entrepreneurship.

Play it Forward Zambia would like to share a special milestone for our Literacy Project as we celebrate the launch of our first ever book authored by 43 young writers from Mulwani Community that are a part of our Literacy project. ๐Ÿ“šโœจ

With the guidance of author Renata Formoso and the creative illustrations of Chaila J.S. Putta, a Zambian illustrator, these children transformed their ideas, experiences, and imaginations into a published Play it Forward Zambian Story.

This achievement is a powerful reminder of what happens when young people are given the opportunity to learn, create, and share their voices with the world. We are incredibly proud of each child who contributed to this remarkable project.

Congratulations to our young authors, Renata, and Chaila for bringing this inspiring story to life! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ“–
