Good luck to all the Year 6 students who are taking their SATs! We hope you manage to find calm in the midst of this new experience.

We use our booklets to guide children in Year 6 through the transition of primary to secondary school, and the possible challenges or pressures of tests and exams.

If you would like us to come in and run our mindfulness workshops with your year groups, or are interested in next year’s A Moment of Calm programme, drop us a message. We’d love to hear from you!

How do you stay calm and positive during new or challenging experiences? Let us know in the comments!

Some words from our CEO, on exam stress, and what our role is as educators to support students at every stage. As exams loom, schools and parents want hacks, shortcuts, and quick fixes for the anxieties impacting student performance. It’s too easy to trivialise the stress of our young people and centre ourselves in the conversation.

But how can we help them slow down, gain control, and build momentum? How can we build a culture of wellbeing that helps students, no matter the time of year?

At Success Club we work to build self esteem, improve wellbeing, and offer young people calm spaces for connection and growth. Drop us a message to learn more about our work.

It’s a wrap! Our last assembly of 2026 — and what a lovely chance to visit Latymer All Saints, and continue some of the work we’ve been doing there. A few of the students pulled us aside to share that they remembered us, and still did some of the grounding exercises we taught them last year! 🧡

This year we’ve worked with over 1000 students across the Enfield borough to teach them principles of mindfulness and to help them with the transition into secondary school. Keep an eye out over the next few days for some more highlights… 👀

We could not have achieved this work without the generosity of our funders, the dedication of our volunteers, or without the commitment from schools and parents to invest their own time and attention into the wellbeing of their children at this crucial stage. Thank you all, and see you next year!

It has been a fantastic two weeks running our Moment of Calm workshops, and we’re nearly at the end now. The engagement of schools, teachers and students has been fantastic — and we’re inspired to come back even better next year.

A Moment of Calm assemblies teach children a range of mindfulness activities and practices they can use in their everyday lives, and gives them a booklet of their very own with dozens more they can draw from whenever they want or need. Year 6 is a key transitional period for children: SATS, new schools, leaving friends and the familiar. It can bring a lot of excitement, anticipation, and a whole mix of other feelings, too. We’ve seen that when we equip young people to manage turbulent periods with calm and confidence, we equip them for life.

Our CEO shares a few words on stress, the exam season, and the role we as educators can play in supporting the wellbeing and empowerment of our students. What are some small ways we can work to support students through these crucial periods? What sense of control can we help give them at this time? Helping young people celebrate small wins, steady progress, and reminding them of what they do have power over are just a few ways we can straighten out the path for them.

What a fantastic start to this year’s Moment of Calm we’ve had. This is one of our proudest programmes, and a flagship of the charity: teaching Year 6 students the vital importance of their own wellbeing, of the role mindfulness can play in managing stress and heightened emotions, and that even during the intense transition from primary school to secondary school, amid the anxiety of SATs, they can find moments and spaces of quiet, safety, and assuredness.

These workshops carry children through a variety of mindfulness exercises, grounding the body and the brain in the here and now, and providing spaces of security and control. Every child also receives a mindfulness booklet of their very own, which they can refer back to at any time for techniques to manage a variety of feelings, in a variety of situations. There’s mindful colouring, stretches, gratitude practices, visualisations, and breathing techniques, in the effort that every student will be able to find something that works for them.

We are so proud of Moment of Calm and of our incredible facilitators, volunteers, and organisers who make it possible, and the schools who want to invest in their students’ wellbeing in the long term during a vulnerable and crucial stage of their lives.

A few highlights from this year’s Easter . It is so awesome to be able to run this every year: an opportunity for kids to socialise, play sports, create, play, and grow. This fantastic programme is so important because it offers so many kids the chance to try out new things, learn new skills, and eat a hot and nutritious meal.

Thank you to all of our team for their fantastic work, the volunteers, the cooks, the facilitators and organisers—this couldn’t be done without you!

We can’t wait for summer, and doing it all over again! If you’d like to join our amazing team, drop us a message to find out more.

Some lovely affirmations from one of our Primary School groups! In this session we looked at the power of positive self talk and the impacts of negative.

Thinking Into Results is our flagship programme, teaching students accountability, positivity, resilience and the power of our own narratives. It was great to reinforce some self belief among our young people during this session.

If you’d like to learn more about the programmes and the workshops we run, feel free to reach out to us any time! We’d love to fill you in about the scope and role of Success Club in the lives of young people across London.

We asked some of our Year Fives to write poetry based on the skeletons by .fasano. It was so wonderful watching them light up with the opportunity to share their own voices - some stuck to the poem outlines given, and others built and bounced off of them. Have a look at some of the kindnesses our students wrote to themselves. It’s amazing to know that through the work we do, we help to teach children and young people to practice kindness with themselves, a skill we hope they’ll carry with them for life.

If you’d like to learn more about the workshops and programmes we run with children and young people, reach out to us! We’d love to tell you more.
