North Paddington Foodbank The largest food aid charity in Westminster, combatting poverty and hunger through direct aid, advocacy, and community programmes.

The first UK food bank to adopt a approach. Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. In Westminster an increasing number of people have difficulties in paying for their basic needs. Other needs may take up all finances, leaving nothing for food. This is a dire situation, especially if one is supporting a fa

mily. The North Paddington Foodbank is there to help. We can provide emergency supermarket vouchers, fuel vouchers, and financial advice and support to people experiencing crisis in North Paddington. We do require a referral for our these services. We have opened a Babybank at the foodbank office (57 Goldney Road, W9 2AR), where people with children are able to access nappies, baby wipes, and baby formula. Plus sanitary products to anyone who bleeds. This is a non-referral service, so it is open to anyone! The North Paddington Foodbank serves wards in North Westminster these include Harrow Road, Queen’s Park, Westbourne, Church Street, Little Venice, Maida Vale, Bayswater and Lancaster Gate Wards

"Warm referral" isn't a jargonistic term; it means exactly what it says on the tin. Referrals between services should be handled warmly. With consent, information about an individual's circumstances is shared with referral partners so that, when initial conversations occur, they aren't left having to relive trauma or explain themselves time and time again.
