💛 WE NEED YOUR HELP 💛

Rambi & Terri — two people, one shared hope: to make life a little better for the people and children of Gutu East. 🇿🇼

We want to take a moment to explain what R.I.S.E. really is.

Behind the projects, the Saturday Kitchen, the growing of vegetables, the community support and everything else we are trying to achieve are two individuals — Rambi and Terri — simply trying to help.

We don't have a big company behind us.
We don't have any guaranteed monthly income.
We don't have any organisations providing funding.

What we do have is determination, a community we care deeply about, and people who believe in what we are trying to achieve. ❤️

Every project has to be funded somehow.

That means continually searching for donations, applying for funding, speaking to people, asking for help and finding creative ways to keep things moving.

Sometimes we manage to raise enough to do something really special.

Sometimes we only raise a little.

And sometimes, quite honestly, we don't know where the next bit of funding will come from.

But we keep going.

Because every vegetable planted can help provide food. 🌱
Every meal served at the Saturday Kitchen means someone has eaten. 🍲
Every donation can help create an opportunity.
Every volunteer who gives their time makes a difference.
And every person who shares our story helps us reach someone who may be able to help.

Behind every meal shared, every fence built, every cake cut in celebration — there are people quietly making it all possible. Today we want to pause and say a heartfelt thank you to our unsung heroes: the volunteers, supporters, and donors who keep showing up for our work, often without recognition, but never without impact. 🙏

Your continued support means more than words can capture. Whether it's a donation, your time, your encouragement, or simply believing in what we do — you are the backbone of this project, and the children and families we serve feel the difference you make every single day. 🌱👶

🌾 Fencing Update – Every Penny Counts 🌾

Nothing is cheap when it comes to running this project — and it's easy to overlook the costs that go on behind the scenes. One thing people don't often think about is fencing. To protect our crops from damage, we need proper wire fencing like this, and it doesn't come cheap. 😔

But this is exactly where your donations make a real difference. Every single penny given goes straight back into the project — helping us secure and protect what we grow, so we can continue supporting and bettering the lives of the children in our local community. 🙏🌱

Fencing may not seem exciting, but it's essential — protected crops mean sustainable food, and sustainable food means we can keep giving back. If you're able to support us, even a small donation helps us take one more step forward. 💛

🌱💚 Growing Hope, One Seedling at a Time 💚🌱

14 July 2026 was another special day for RISE GUTU EAST.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of two of our wonderful supporters, Don and Frances, we were able to give something back to our community by purchasing sweet cabbage seedlings.

On 15 July 2026, these healthy young plants were carefully planted in our community garden, marking another step towards a more sustainable future.

Every seedling represents more than just a vegetable. It represents:
🌱 Food for families.
🌱 Income to support our community projects.
🌱 Fresh produce for our Saturday Kitchen.
🌱 Hope that, together, we can overcome every challenge.

After the disappointment of losing our watermelon crop, moments like these remind us that every setback can become a new beginning. The kindness of our supporters allows us to keep planting, keep growing, and keep helping those who need us most.

A very special thank you to Don and Frances for your compassion and generosity. Your gift is already taking root, and in the months ahead, it will help feed families and strengthen our community.

Together, we are planting more than vegetables—we are planting hope for the future. 💚

🌱 From Heartbreak to Hope – Thank You for Helping Us Start Again 🌱

On 25 June 2026, these photos were taken just days after one of our biggest setbacks.

Our watermelon crop, which we had worked so hard to grow, was devastated. It was a difficult time for everyone involved, and it would have been easy to give up.

But because of our belief in ours gaols, we didn't.

Thanks to the incredible support of our donors, we were able to buy new seeds and replant our garden. Every donation, no matter the size, gave us the chance to start over and keep believing in our mission.

Just a few weeks later, on 12 July 2026, we harvested our first small crop of vegetables. It wasn't a huge harvest, but it was enough to sell in small bundles within the local community.

Every bundle sold meant something.

🥬 It helped us pay our dedicated volunteers, who work tirelessly to support our projects.
🍲 It helped provide food for our Saturday Kitchen, where we share meals with those who need them most.
🌱 Most importantly, it reminded us that even after loss, new growth is possible.

This is what sustainable community support looks like. Your donations don't just provide immediate help—they create opportunities for communities to rebuild, become more self-reliant, and continue helping others.

To everyone who has donated, shared our story, volunteered, or believed in RISE GUTU EAST...

Making Dreams Come True: A Birthday to Remember! 🎂🎉✨
Every child deserves to feel special, loved, and celebrated on their birthday. Thanks to your incredibly kind donations and ongoing support, we were able to bring pure magic to Gutu East! 🥳

Look at these stunning, beautifully decorated cakes! Seeing the excitement on the children’s faces as everyone gathered around to celebrate was an unforgettable moment for our whole community.

For many of these young ones, having a dedicated birthday celebration with cakes like these is something they’ve only ever dreamed of.

Your generosity does so much more than provide practical aid—it creates lifelong memories, builds community, and brings genuine joy where it’s needed most.
