What does giving look like in 2026? 💙

Recent research shows that, despite economic uncertainty, people continue to care about charitable causes and they continue to trust charities.

📊 73% of people donated to charity in the past three months, while 74% planned to give in the following quarter. (Donor Pulse 2026 by Enthuse Intelligence)

💙 43% of donors supported health charities, while 25% gave to charities supporting children and young people among the most supported causes in the UK. (Charities Aid Foundation, UK Giving 2026)

🤝 36% of charities experiencing income growth said a greater focus on supporter experience contributed to that growth (Blackbaud, The Status of UK Fundraising 2026)

For Gift of Life, these findings reinforce why trust, transparency and meaningful connections with our supporters matter so much. Every donation helps turn generosity into something tangible - vital medicines, treatment and hope for children and young people facing serious illness.

🎂 Happy Birthday, Chulpan!

Today we’re celebrating our wonderful friend, supporter and inspiration, Chulpan Khamatova.

For many years, Chulpan has poured her heart into Gift of Life and our sister charities, using her voice, talent and kindness to support children facing cancer and serious illnesses. Her dedication to our mission has helped bring hope and vital support to so many children and their families.

Chulpan, thank you for everything you do and for always standing alongside Gift of Life. We wish you a beautiful birthday filled with happiness, love, inspiration and all the joy you bring to others. ❤️

🏃‍♀️ They did it! Huge congratulations to our incredible Gift of Life runners Estee and Ankita, who took on the Vitality London 10,000 in support of children with cancer and serious blood disorders.

✨ Estee completed the race in an amazing 52:05, finishing 15th in her age group, what a result!
👏 Ankita crossed the finish line in 1:27:19, showing incredible determination and completing the race despite running with an injury.

We’re so proud of both of them for taking on the challenge and raising awareness for Gift of Life. Every kilometre helps shine a light on the children who need access to vital medicines and treatment.

A huge thank you to Estee, Ankita and everyone who supported their fundraising. 💙

💙 Meet Mariia, returning for her second fundraising run for Gift of Life.

This October, Mariia will take on the Royal Parks Half Marathon, after completing the London Big Half in 2024 and raising more than £2,100 for Gift of Life.

She describes her first half marathon as one of the hardest things she had ever done, but also one of her proudest achievements. “I was proud of myself for getting through it, but even more proud to be doing it for such a great cause. That’s why I decided to do it again.”

For Mariia, running is a way of giving back to children facing circumstances far tougher than her own. “We’re incredibly lucky that we’re healthy enough to run. Giving back is my way of supporting children who are facing much tougher circumstances.”

We’re so grateful to Mariia for taking on another challenge and helping raise vital funds for children with cancer and serious blood disorders.

🎂 Happy Birthday to our Patron, Princess Katya Galitzine!

As we celebrate 15 years of Gift of Life, we're sharing the stories of children whose lives have been transformed thanks to our supporters.

Natasha was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia as a child. After relapsing, she underwent a life-saving bone marrow transplant made possible through charitable funding.

Today, she is an interior designer and continues to support Gift of Life through creative projects like Earth Lights, a puppet theatre production inspired by the real experiences of children affected by cancer.

Looking back on her journey, Natasha reflects on how creativity became a source of hope during treatment and why she believes art can help children process experiences that words sometimes cannot.

💙 "Healing comes in many forms. Sometimes through medicine, sometimes through the quiet presence of family, and sometimes through something as simple as the courage to make the very first mark on a blank sheet of paper."

For Lev, the Vitality London 10,000 is about more than crossing the finish line. It’s an opportunity to challenge himself while supporting children with cancer and serious blood disorders.

“I’ve always believed that progress means more when it is connected to a purpose bigger than yourself.”
