60 Up is a not for profit Community Interest Company based in the Borough of Lewisham that provides social, cultural, educational and health activities aimed at keeping older adults active and engaged in their local community and addressing the need for healthy lifestyle choices. Many older people will maintain their health and well-being into their later years. However others will face challenge

s such as ill health, increasing frailty, social isolation, declining mental health and the ability to access services and programmes.

60 Up provides activities which are simple to access, encouraging elders, primarily but not exclusively in Lewisham, who are already active and independent to remain so and encouraging and enabling those who aren’t to become so whilst lending support to those more vulnerable

Prevention and community support are our driving force. The objects of the Company are to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular to older adults in the London Borough of Lewisham and surrounding areas. Mission Statement

We aim to be a user led organisation; we encourage older people to seek their own personal development by offering social, recreational, cultural and educational activities. We promote healthy lifestyles and support older people to be active members of their local community. Vision Statement

Remembering Windrush, Celebrating Community is a free, feel good event taking place on Monday 15th June, 11:30am to 3:00pm at Honor Oak Community Centre, 50 Turnham Road, SE4 2JD. RSVP Essential 💕

Open to everyone, this special gathering celebrates the legacy of the Windrush generation while bringing the community together in a relaxed and welcoming space.
Enjoy a delicious Caribbean inspired buffet, connect with others, and take part in gentle “Then & Now” conversations where stories, memories, and experiences can be shared. There will also be an opportunity to capture and preserve personal reflections.

Delivered by 60 Up CIC, this is a chance to come together, celebrate culture, and honour the voices and contributions that continue to shape our community today.

Movement, connection and smiles all round ✨

Thanks to funding from Sport England and the National Lottery we are able to bring seated exercise classes directly to sheltered housing residents.

These gentle sessions help support mobility, confidence, wellbeing and social connection proving that movement really is for everybody
