Amena recently performed in the atrium at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, bringing their unique blend of Arabic jazz to patients, staff and visitors. 💙

Their performance was part of the CW+ Arts for All programme, our creative health programme that uses music and the arts to support the wellbeing of patients, staff and visitors. 🩷

Did you know that the large, open atrium at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital carries the sound of musical performances all the way into the hospital's wards? 🤔

Healthcare is about more than treatment. It's also about the environment in which care is delivered. 🏥

Through our Hospital Next Door campaign, we are helping to create spaces that support the wellbeing of patients, staff and visitors, including:

• calmer scanning environments
• comfortable, more private treatment spaces
• uplifting artwork
• restorative spaces for staff

These enhancements can help make visits to the new Diagnostic, Treatment and Education Centre at West Middlesex University Hospital more comfortable and reassuring for patients, staff and visitors.

How can you help? By buying a brick in our virtual wall! 🧱

If you give £250 or more, your name, or the name of someone you wish to honour, will be included on the Founders' Wall inside the new Centre. ✨

From patient to volunteer 💙🩷

After being treated for a stroke at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in 2017, Lynn returned to the hospital as a ward volunteer.

Now she supports and encourages patients through their own recovery, while drawing strength and inspiration from the connections she makes.

Today is National Poetry Day. ✍️

As part of our Arts for All programme, Writer in Residence Rebecca Goss worked with patients in the Haematology and Oncology Day Unit at West Middlesex University Hospital.

Using poetry, Rebecca encouraged conversation, creativity and reflection during treatment, helping to create moments of connection and self-expression. 💙

Now, some of the poetry created through the project will become a permanent part of the new Diagnostic, Treatment and Education Centre (DTEC), giving patients, staff and visitors the opportunity to engage with the work for years to come.
