The first half of their recital brings together some of the finest of 20th century English song writing, concluding with one of Benjamin Britten’s most approachable song cycles, Winter Words. In the second half, by contrast, we delve into the world of German Lieder with Robert Schumann’s monumental Dichterliebe (‘A Poet’s Love’).
