Mr. Tawakal Ahmadyar is the President of Ahmadyar Group of Companies and the founder of Ahmadyar Petroleum Company, established in 2004. He is a distinguished Afghan entrepreneur and philanthropist who has achieved significant success in business and played a key role in developing Afghanistan’s petroleum sector. His efforts have contributed to job creation for thousands of people, the standardisation of the oil and petroleum industry, and the broader reconstruction and development of the country.
He established a charitable foundation in 2005 and has consistently supported public welfare and humanitarian initiatives. Mr. Ahmadyar has also worked to expand Afghanistan’s commercial relations globally by promoting investment opportunities and facilitating trade with European and Asian markets.
He has served as Director of the Petroleum Union since 2013 and has been actively involved with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Afghanistan, where he held the position of Finance Director from 2015 to 2019. He also previously served as Director-General of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, contributing to a progressive vision for business and investment in Afghanistan.
