Massive thanks to Ellie_reeves80 MP for taking the time to visit our food bank welcome centre in Forest Hill. She spent time talking to staff and volunteers, getting an insight into the breadth of our work, whilst her caseworkers chatted to some of our visitors.

What an incredibly generous afternoon it was at the Fox & Firkin yesterday. London City Voices Choir and their guests raised a colossal £2546.08 for us. We are blown away!

These wonderful humans organised a collection from a couple of local schools when they realised that summer holiday financial support for families had been greatly reduced this year. 91 kg of food & essentials donated.

This is the kind of thoughtful gesture that warms our hearts, and makes such a difference.

This week we fed 495 people, 173 were children on school summer holidays without their free school meals, so demand for our service has increased.

At the same time, donations of food have reduced significantly. If you can spare a couple of extra items as part of your shop, we have donation points in Tesco Elmers End/Lewisham, Sainsbury's New Cross, Waitrose Beckenham and many other stores (just look for our logo or check our website). Or you can drop off to our warehouse at 353H Bromley Road SE6 2RP, or arrange a supermarket delivery.

Thank you for helping people who face food poverty because of the rising cost of essentials.
