A slice of summer before it’s a distant memory ☀️
Sunsets, swimming, sightseeing, old friends, new friends, cousin love, fava and a whole lot of feta :-)

I often find the change into Autumn a bit troublesome I have to admit, however there are a few things coming up to look forward to (many to be joined in with as always!)

💿Me and Preetha are releasing our next Balladeste (4th!!) album - The next single ‘Flight’ is out next week with a twist of electronic class from Tullis 🤘
Also save the date - 5th November - london launch gig with some mega guests.

🏠I’ll be running another Hastings Vox Voices singing course starting on 22nd September at The Beacon

🪇I’ll also be back doing a little stint of Tots Tunes workshops at The Crown Hastings - it’s been a while!

More school songwriting workshops coming in Hastings too and back at National Gallery for mire composing with school kids 🎶🎶

More coming on the join in ones…

Augsburg time - Water ways, stunning spaces, mega reverbs and some beautiful new collaborations and connections made.
Thanks Water & Sound Festival for inviting me and Preetha to perform Balladeste gig in the most insane reverberant space (just opened after 10 years of being derelict!) and bringing us to together with Austburg Philamonic players (Vereena and Alexandra) to form the string quartet to join both 𝐿𝑎𝑢𝑟𝑎 𝑀𝑖𝑠𝑐ℎ and ganavya doraiswamy on their gigs. What a treat and a lush week ✨✨🎶🎶

Shout out to Girisha for the eclectic and wonderful programming of this festival and Tom Jahn for the beautiful string arrangements. Hope it’s the start of more Balladeste collaborations to come…

Last weekend Love Supreme Jazz Festival
Great to be invited to do a Tots Tunes band set, and then experience the joy of a festival through the eyes of a very enthusiastic 8 year old!
I mean live music, bumper cars, and sleeping in our van - what’s not to like! (And ☀️☀️)

📸

4-5 - Ezra Collective Friday night - so much fun, bringing the joy and the crowd together!

6 - Lyra ❤️

More VoxSling workshops start tomorrow.
Come and join me to gather, sing, breathe, connect. I know it’s not always easy to commit to all 4 weeks when you’ve got a tiny babe and never quite know what the day might bring so… you can come to 1 workshop or 2 , whatever works best for you.

Here’s a few words from singers on the last course…

“sublime, so calming and gratifying”

“ VoxSling is the highlight of my & my baby’s week!”

“ grounding yet elating - a perfect start to our morning”

Thanks again to the wonderful for opening up their space to gatherings of all kinds.
One week we were next to a bit of w**e tasting and a knitting group - all running in different spaces in the pub 😊

More details in the bio link and message if you ever want to know.
Tuesday 10am - The crown, Hastings Old Town.

These workshops are for pregnant and new mums, parents with babes in arms (slings)
