Augsburg time - Water ways, stunning spaces, mega reverbs and some beautiful new collaborations and connections made.
Thanks Water & Sound Festival for inviting me and Preetha to perform Balladeste gig in the most insane reverberant space (just opened after 10 years of being derelict!) and bringing us to together with Austburg Philamonic players (Vereena and Alexandra) to form the string quartet to join both 𝐿𝑎𝑢𝑟𝑎 𝑀𝑖𝑠𝑐ℎ and ganavya doraiswamy on their gigs. What a treat and a lush week ✨✨🎶🎶

Shout out to Girisha for the eclectic and wonderful programming of this festival and Tom Jahn for the beautiful string arrangements. Hope it’s the start of more Balladeste collaborations to come…

Last weekend Love Supreme Jazz Festival
Great to be invited to do a Tots Tunes band set, and then experience the joy of a festival through the eyes of a very enthusiastic 8 year old!
I mean live music, bumper cars, and sleeping in our van - what’s not to like! (And ☀️☀️)

Such a perfect evening for (the first hopefully!) Vox Voices Sunset singing workshop.
We moved around, we messed around, we played with sound, sang to the sun and sea!!- thanks Hastings Castle for bringing this special spot back to life and being up for all the ideas being put to you ✨

Another little clip from a recent film about my new project VoxSling,made by wonderful filmmaker . Its always about the connections.

This week I was invited to talk about VoxSling at LEYMN gathering - alongside , such a lovely group of people and ideas, thoughts shared.

I taught a song too, well… I didn’t think it was even a song - a part harmony warm up I made based on something Lyra sang in her buggy years ago 😊who knew it would become a song that will now by shared out to other groups!! Eyo mama - Lyra’s call …🎶🎶

VoxSling is a new project bringing together pregnant and new mothers through song - it was a longtime brewing idea - a combo of Tots Tunes and Vox Voices - taking what I’ve learnt from both projects 🎶🎶

More VoxSling workshops start tomorrow.
Come and join me to gather, sing, breathe, connect. I know it’s not always easy to commit to all 4 weeks when you’ve got a tiny babe and never quite know what the day might bring so… you can come to 1 workshop or 2 , whatever works best for you.

I have an EP Launch gig this month on Thursday 30th April The Old Church - lovely to back there again - who remembers the days of Tots Gigs, the regular monthly daytime gigs I ran there pre-covid??

This EP is a special collection of songs about love in all its facets written with wonderful friends and collaborators Preetha and Ana. Be lovely if any of you can come.
