Your struggle is seen. The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught that no sorrow, no distress, not even the prick of a thorn touches a believer without meaning behind it.

So many of us treat sadness like a sign we are failing at faith. But grief is human. Ya'qub wept. The Prophet felt the year of sorrow. Feeling low does not cancel your belief.

The Quran gives us the anchor: in the remembrance of Allah, hearts find rest. Not perfection, not pretending you are fine. Just turning back, again and again.

Save this for the nights your heart feels heavy, and follow for more reminders that meet you where you are.

The hardest part isn’t struggling. It’s pretending you’re not.

You show up to work. You smile. You tell everyone you’re fine. But deep down, every day feels a little heavier than the last.

Here’s your reminder: you do not have to wait until you’re completely broken to ask for help.

Allah says, “Indeed, with hardship comes ease.”(Qur’an 94:5–6)

Seeking support isn’t a sign of weak iman. It’s taking the means that Allah has made available. At Inspirited Minds, we understand the stigma around mental health in our community, and that’s exactly why we’re here.

If this feels like your story, DM us today. You don’t have to carry it alone. 🤲

Trauma isn’t always something we can simply “move on” from — because sometimes, the body is still carrying what happened. 🧠

As psychiatrist and trauma researcher Dr Bessel van der Kolk explores in The Body Keeps the Score, traumatic experiences can continue to shape how we respond to stress, triggers and feelings of safety long after the event itself has passed.

You may consciously know you’re safe, yet your body can still react as though the danger is present.

In this episode of the Mindful Muslim Podcast, we explore trauma, the mind-body connection, and what the journey towards healing can look like — emotionally, physically and spiritually. 🤍

You don't have to be okay every single day.

Some days, getting out of bed feels harder. Replying to messages feels exhausting. Even the things you normally enjoy can feel like too much.

And that doesn't make you lazy, weak, or failing.

You are human. Some days will feel heavier than others, and sometimes simply getting through the day is enough.

Be patient with yourself. Give yourself permission to slow down, rest, and take things one step at a time.

You don't have to have everything figured out today.

🤍 If today feels heavy, save this as your reminder. And send it to someone who might need to hear that it's okay not to be okay.

Trauma doesn’t always stay in the past. Sometimes, the body remembers what the mind is trying to move on from. 💭

A sound. A place. A feeling. Something seemingly small can trigger a physical response to an experience from years ago.

In this episode of the Mindful Muslim Podcast, we explore how trauma can live within the body, affect our emotional and spiritual wellbeing, and why healing requires more than simply being told to “move on.”

Healing takes time. Healing takes compassion. And most importantly, healing is possible. 🤍

We repeat these myths so often they start to feel like facts.

But the wrong story about mental health keeps people quiet, ashamed, and stuck when help is right there.

Here are 5 of the most common myths, and what's actually true instead.

Therapy isn't just for emergencies. Struggling isn't weakness. You can't simply snap out of it. Kids feel it too. And medication doesn't erase who you are.

Save this and send it to someone who needs the reminder.

Mum guilt isn't just a feeling. It's a mental load that quietly shapes how you think, sleep, and cope.

Here's what the research actually shows.

More than half of mums say they feel guilty every single day. That constant low hum of "am I doing enough?" is exhausting, and it rarely gets talked about out loud.

But guilt doesn't stay small. Studies have found that guilt and shame are real predictors of anxiety and low mood. Around one in five pregnant and postpartum women meet the criteria for an anxiety disorder, with rates highest in early pregnancy.

Guilt also feeds burnout. In mothers already experiencing burnout, guilt made it worse, not better.

And a lot of it traces back to an impossible standard. The unattainable "good mother" ideal has been linked to depressive symptoms and anxiety, because no one can ever measure up to it.

So if you feel it, please know two things. You are not failing, and you are not alone.

The goal isn't a guilt-free life. It's learning to notice the guilt, question it, talk about it, and refuse to carry all of it by yourself.

Save this for the days it feels heavy. Send it to a mum who needs the reminder.

Some seasons feel impossibly heavy. The weight does not mean you are failing. It means you are being asked to grow.

Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear. So the very fact that you are still here, still breathing, still trying, is proof you were built to carry this.

You do not need to see the whole path. You only need to take the next step, and trust the One who sees what you cannot.

Save this for the days that feel too hard.
