Power programme

Power programme The Power Programme is a 2 year community project run by Catalyst In Communities at Caritas Anchor House and is funded by the People’s Health Trust.

The idea behind the project is for Catalyst In Communities to work with Residents of Anchor House through a range workshops to support them to increase physical and emotional health by enhancing feelings of self-belief and to improve residents’ life skills and aspirations. The process began back in the summer of 2015 with some Personal Development and Mind Set group Coaching sessions for residents

delivered by Robin Lockhart (CIC). Robin said that ”The Power Programme has been set up to provide the amazing residents of Anchor House with opportunities to develop their skills and self-belief, to support them to empower themselves to create a life where they can reach their true potential. After the initial workshops we went on a Residential Visit to Woodrow High House in Buckinghamshire where we spent some time in the beautiful countryside enjoying ourselves, whilst learning new skills and getting to know each other better. See the photos here. The next phase of the programme is where the initial cohort of residents organise a range of new workshops for the next group of recruits. Our workshops will be open to residents of Anchor House, as well as to local residents."
