💜 A NOTICE FROM Whetstone Memorial Hall 💜

Just a quick heads-up for everyone who uses our hall and car park…

🏠 Our roof replacement work is about to get underway from Monday 10th August till Friday 14th August. 🔨

For everyone’s safety, the hall will be closed and car park will be locked throughout the week while the contractors are carrying out the work.

Our contractors have asked that no members of the public access the car park or work area during this time, so please don’t try to enter while the gates are locked.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and really appreciate your patience and understanding while we get this important work done. ❤️

It’s all part of keeping our lovely community hall safe and looking after it for everyone who uses it. 🥰

Thank you for your continued support! 💜

For over 80 years, Whetstone Memorial Hall has been a part of local peoples lives.
People have been freely giving their time, energy and effort to keep the hall open for you.
For your events, parties, sales, fitness, art and creativity classes and much, much more besides.

A huge thank you to our “Friends of the Hall” volunteers who have been working really hard in this heat to prune back the over grown trees and shrubs from outside the hall! You all deserve a medal!

Today there was a single red poppy growing at Whetstone Memorial Hall, and it's a reminder that these walls weren't built by chance. They stand as a reminder of the men who gave their lives and of our community that wanted their sacrifice to be remembered.

It's also why so many people still quietly volunteer their time to keep the doors of the hall open. Not just to maintain a building, but to keep alive what it was always meant to be - somewhere for local people to come together, meet, support one another, and keep the heart of the community beating.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who gives their time, effort and care. Your work matters more than you probably realise.
