🔥NEW No Palantir in the NHS campaign resource 🌱

*GP data rapid response*
Despite the government's previous statement that GP data would not be held in the FDP, we are aware that ICBs are attempting to put GP data into the FDP via their local data sharing agreements. GPs have the power to resist this. Read the full update on medact.org!

We were in front of the Palantir offices in London this morning where NHS senior leaders were meeting the company that has no place in our health service!

"Workers, students, patients say: Palantir cannot stay."

If you too want to stop our health service being powered by Palantir, join us for a webinar launch of the report on the risks of Palantir in the NHS on Monday 16th March. Just register via link in bio.

Join us TOMORROW, Tuesday 11th November for an urgent and powerful online conversation "Palestine, health, and the limits of humanitarianism". This event is a must-attend for health workers and anyone committed to justice and international solidarity.

Hosted by Dr. Rhiannon Mihranian Osborne, an organiser, researcher, and health worker dedicated to health justice and fighting corporate violence, we'll dive deep into the politics of humanitarianism, the complicity of the British state in Israel's genocide and the role of health workers in confronting it.

We’ll hear from leading voices:

Layth Hanbali - Community Health Researcher

Ghassan Abu-Sittah - Trauma and Reconstructive Surgeon

Amira Nimerawi - CEO, Health Workers 4 Palestine

Hannah Caller - Community Paediatrician

James Smith - Emergency Physician

This conversation is vital for health workers but open to everyone.

Join us on Tuesday, 11th November at 7pm GMT for “Palestine, Health and the Limits of Humanitarianism” — an online political education webinar exploring the role of health workers in confronting genocide, imperialism, and the British state’s complicity in Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza.

We’re honoured to announce our last speaker, Hannah Caller — a paediatric doctor based in east London, committed to fighting racism and imperialism, and supporting the right to defend Palestine. She will discuss how we move beyond depoliticised humanitarian frameworks towards a radical, collective practice of health and solidarity.

What does it mean to be a health worker in the face of Israel's genocide? Join us for a powerful conversation about the politics of humanitarianism, the destruction of Gaza's health system, and the urgent need for international solidarity on Tuesday, 11th November at 7pm GMT.

Our fourth speaker, James Smith, a medical doctor and global health expert, will share insights on the challenges of moving from humanitarian work to politicised health practice. With his vast experience in humanitarian health, James will explore how health workers can organise and build power in their communities and workplaces, and what it means to connect worker struggles with liberation movements.

We’re honoured to welcome Amira Nimerawi, Program and Impact Specialist at the Palestinian Medical Relief Society and CEO of Health Workers 4 Palestine, as our third speaker for “Palestine, Health and the Limits of Humanitarianism” – taking place Tuesday, 11th November at 7pm GMT (online via Zoom).

Amira will speak to the urgent need for health worker solidarity – from building organising power in the UK, to disrupting complicity within our institutions, and reimagining what it means to practise medicine ethically in the face of Israel's genocide.

Drawing on her experience mobilising health workers globally, Amira will challenge us to think beyond the boundaries of humanitarianism and towards collective action grounded in liberation and accountability.

We’re honoured to welcome Layth Hanbali as our second speaker for our online event "Palestine, health and the limits of humanitarianism" next Tuesday, 11th November at 7pm GMT.

Layth is the Coordinator of the Institute for Palestine Studies project “Documenting the Targeting and Destruction of the Health Sector in the Gaza Strip” and a PhD candidate at the Free University of Brussels, where he researches the history of Palestinian medical resistance.

He’ll be joining us to reflect on how global health and humanitarian frameworks often depoliticise struggle, and to trace the powerful history – and present – of health workers as agents of resistance and liberation in Palestine and beyond.

Join us as we explore solidarity, resistance, and the role of health workers in confronting Israel's genocide.

We’re honoured to welcome our first speaker, Dr Ghassan Abu Sittah, a renowned surgeon and scholar whose work in Gaza has laid bare the realities of settler-colonial violence and the deliberate destruction of Palestine’s health system.

At our online event, Dr Abu Sittah will speak to what it means to practise medicine under siege – where every act of care becomes a form of resistance. We’ll explore how health work in Palestine has always been political, rooted in the struggle for dignity and freedom, and what a practice of Liberation Medicine could mean for both Palestine and global movements for justice today.

Every new layer of border tech deepens harm against our communities.

From e-Visas to digital IDs, these systems exclude, surveil and control — under the guise of “security”.

But we know safety comes from care, solidarity, and freedom of movement — not surveillance.

Learn more about the EU's newest “border regulation” and take action via the resources in the final slide!
