SUMMER CLOSURE DATES!

The caff will be closed Tuesday 25th August - Friday 4th September

We will still be open Saturday 29th August and Saturday 5th Sept for foodbank and lunch 💥

We will re-open as normal from Tues 8th September 🙂

☕🗣️This Saturday 21st August 10am-12pm at South Norwood Community Kitchen 🌱

➡️ Immigration Raids in Croydon - join us for a workshop with Migrant Rights Network to learn about the experiences of migrant communities being targeted by the Home Office in Croydon.

We’ll learn about the realities of seeking asylum in the UK, facts and statistics about the current immigration situation in the UK, and how communities can come together to support each-other in the face of difficulty and division 💪

Please join us to discuss your views and learn from each-other. We’ll eat lunch together afterwards (free/pay-what-you-can) and tea/coffee/snacks provided throughout.

Women’s group with Women’s Homelessness Support | London, UK (Bromley) 🌸🤸💪

Tuesdays at 10am at SNCK for anyone who identifies as a woman, especially those whose home doesn’t feel steady, sofa-surfing, between places, holding it together alone.

Movement, gentle Pilates, yoga, breathwork, reflection and real talk with women who get it.

THANKS SO MUCH to everyone who was a part of making our stall at such a success ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Anne + Fred’s delicious cakes sold out, as did Yaba’s fresh + zingy sorrel & ginger juices! We sold some gorgeous risoprinted cards and posters made by Lara and Alice, chatted to locals and shared the magic of what we do 🌻💖🌞 big ups to everyone who came down and helped in the HEAT, especially the youngest member of the team, Yaba’s son John, who kept us in line 😎😎 We raised just over £400!!

There is an Amber/Red Heat Alert this week, with temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees. Some of those particularly at risk are:

Those over 65 or under 5
People with underlying health conditions
Pregnant people
People on certain medications
People with drug or alcohol dependence

SNCK is open to everyone as a cool space between 10-3 Tues-Fri and 9.30-2 on Saturdays.

We have ice cold water/squash + ice pops available all week on top of our usual hot drinks, coffees and breakfast/lunch. All of this is pay-what-you-can/free.

If you see someone who looks like they’re having a difficult time in the heat, please let them know about us - we have supplies available for people who are experiencing difficulty due to being out in the sun.
