🌽 Join our Harvest Festival and host a food drive for City Harvest 🌽

1 in 4 households with children currently face food poverty. Together, we have the power to help change that.

We're calling on businesses, schools and social groups in London to come together and collect food donations to help make a difference to our local communities. We'll be collecting long-shelf life store cupboard ingredients, as they play a vital role in helping our community partners put together complete, nutritious and well-balanced meals.

We were thrilled to recently welcome back our partners by word of mouth - London Catering & Party Design to our New Covent Garden Market site for a team volunteering day.

The impact of volunteering with City Harvest quickly adds up: just 1 Hour of work = 530 Meals that we can provide to people facing food poverty across London. The By Word of Mouth team's combined 28 hours of volunteering added up to:

💚6.5 tonnes of food rescued for City Harvest’s food redistribution programme
💚14,851 meals delivered to community partners supporting people in need
💚16.2 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions prevented by rescuing food for human consumption

Our friends at Burnt Oak Community Food Bank presented us a lovely award to celebrate 5 years of partnership with them. Community Manager Po and Driver José were on hand to accept the honours!

Burnt Oak Community Food Bank feed 250 weekly visitors to their Thursday food bank, as well as delivering community meals on Mondays. In the five years we've worked with them, City Harvest's food deliveries have helped to feed over 250,000 people!

Volunteers from Mizuho joined our team at on Friday for an exciting corporate volunteering session.

Mizuho are proud supporters of our work at City Harvest, and will be representing us in the Lord Mayor's Show later this year. We were thrilled to welcome them to our Acton Warehouse for a day of sorting surplus produce, ready to be sent out to our community partners across London. Together, we're making a big impact to those living in food poverty.

City Harvest reached a new milestone this week!

Since we were founded in 2014, we’ve delivered 90 million meals to people living in food poverty in London.

Every week, City Harvest rescues 1.2 million meals that would otherwise go to waste. We work with over 300 Food Banks, Community Pantries and Soup Kitchens to provide life-changing support to over 130,000 people living in food poverty across London. By diverting food that would otherwise go to landfill, City Harvest rescues food, people, and the planet.

We are delighted to announce that City Harvest is once again a Community Partner of the 2026 Bread & Jam Festival, taking place at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London on 14th - 15th July.

Our team of City Harvest staff and volunteers will help set up, merchandise, and process sales at the Producer’s Shop. We are thrilled that all proceeds from the shop, along with food donated, will benefit Londoners in need. Thank you for your support!
