Tonight at Beavers 🦫 we made dams and tested out which worked and where the weak points were. Everyone won a biscuit for their efforts!

Tonight, cubs participated in a fast paced activity combining a scavenger hunt with Monopoly - Scavengopoly. They had to complete tasks around New Malden, earning Cub Bucks for each task completed and allowing them to buy zones, such as the Railway Zone. They had to cope with other ups and downs thrown at them such as finding Cub Bucks, dealing with an unexpected tax bill, looking for their lost top hat and being chased by puppies...

The evening was rounded off by a trip to McDonalds.

Thanks to the Parents who led each team (North, South, East and West) with our fantastic young leaders in support.

I think this photo aptly demonstrates the fun and craziness we have at Beavers! Litter pick complete for our World Challenge badge 🌍☑️

Tonight Cubs did a twilight hike around Richmond Park, starting at Ladderstile gate and covering 3.6km. We saw lots of 🦌, made up a group story in the Isabella plantation and then found out that today is the autumn equinox ( and what that means). We also inspected the fantastic waxing gibbous moon, and found out about different lunar phases. Thanks to parent helpers and young leaders for your energy and enthusiasm.

From the excitement and challenges to the laughter, late nights and unforgettable moments, it’s been another brilliant camp.

Enjoy the rest of the summer and we’ll see you all in September! 👋🏕️
