Yesterday was Manuel’s hearing.

The judge asked a lot of questions and decided the case needs more time and attention, with a further hearing set. That gives Manuel the chance to properly put his side and keep fighting to stay in his home - something no one should have to fight this hard for in the first place.

The judge indicated this case could become a lead case, meaning it may help shape how other HfL Tenants' cases are considered.

This is why people showing up matters. Being there, standing together, and making sure tenants aren’t treated as an afterthought makes a real difference.

📌 Rasa’s hearing is tomorrow. Support and solidarity still count.

HfL Tenants, Manuel and Rasa, are facing no-fault evictions. We’re asking everyone to come and sit in the courtroom to show community support. Anyone can come! You don’t need to speak, chant, or do anything at all.

Just being there is more than enough.

Let’s be clear: making residents homeless helps no one — least of all those already without a home.

The absurdity of Lambeth Labour's decision couldn’t be more obvious and we’re not staying quiet.

Labour’s housing hypocrisy exposed! 🚨

Since Labour gained power, Labour-run councils have issued almost 200 no-fault evictions - despite promising to ban them!

In Lambeth, 63 families got Section 21 notices. Some have even been taken to court or removed by bailiffs.

BREAKING: HfL Tenants' story is in The Guardian! 🗞️

Labour-run Lambeth Council has been exposed for exploiting a legal loophole to kick dozens of families out of their homes.

This is a direct breach of Labour’s own pledge to protect renters’ rights. Section 21 evictions are due to be abolished under Labour’s Renters' Rights Bill, which will become law in early 2026.

Families are being forced out now. We won’t stay silent.

Watch Manuel speak truth to power in his incisive deputation ✊ He delivered it on behalf of HfL Tenants at the latest full Lambeth Council meeting.

As evident by Manuel’s speech, the council’s argument collapses under scrutiny.

The line? Labour-led Lambeth Council must evict dozens of families and vulnerable tenants.

How? Through Section 21 evictions, otherwise known as ‘no fault evictions’, that are soon-to-be banned by current Labour government.

Why? To turn our homes into temporary accommodation for those ‘in most urgent need.’

The issue? That’s exactly who WE will become IF evicted.

The outcome? Dozens of families and vulnerable tenants end up homeless.

So what do you think? Sounds like a sound plan, right? Definitely not immoral, harmful, or anything. Perfectly reasonable to make one group homeless to (temporarily) house another, and then self-congratulate yourself through blatant virtue signalling 👀

Manuel and his family are amongst dozens of HfL Tenants currently facing homelessness after getting a 'no fault' eviction notice from Lambeth Council.

This Labour council set up a 'private' company, Homes for Lambeth, to pose as a 'private' landlord. It is now using Section 21 notices, soon-to-be abolished by the current Labour (!) government, to displace multiple families and vulnerable tenants from five different Lambeth estates.

In this video, Manuel discusses the distress this situation is causing him and his fellow HfL Tenants as he challenges the council's narrative.

The council claims it wants to house the homeless yet conveniently omits the fact that it'd be making us homeless in the process.

Join us this Wednesday at 6pm in front of Lambeth Town Hall where later that evening Manuel will give a deputation during the full council meeting!

Together, let's show Lambeth Council we will not let it displace and force us out of our communities ✊
