When getting all the Photo Recon kit into the Jeep and trailer for an event is beginning to look just a little ambitious! Particularly as you have still got to squeeze in your camp bed, clothes, sleeping bag, food,the dog etc,etc……🤪

212 Squadron will also be attending the totally free to visit Dartford 80th anniversary of VE Day event in Dartford Central Park on Sunday the 18th May from 11.00am to 4.00pm. Our 1943 Willys Jeep will be alongside the amazing MkIX Spitfire owned by ‘Simply Spitfire’! Loads of other stuff to see and do, including The Gurkha’s, a stunning wartime fire engine, Brass band, 1940’s singers and face painting along with good ol’tea and buns!

The 85th Anniversary of Operation Dynamo will be celebrated at Ramsgate Tunnels from Friday 16th May and 212 Squadron will be there!

Operation Dynamo at Ramsgate Tunnels - Honouring the Spirit of Ramsgate and the Little Ships

2025 is the 85th anniversary of Operation Dynamo – the evacuation in 1940 of allied troops from Dunkirk and more than 40,000 of these troops returned via Ramsgate.

More than 70 of the original Little Ships who took part in the evacuations will be mustering in Ramsgate and visitors can meet their proud custodians, and hear the tales of their voyages across the English Channel.

From Thursday 15th May, the Dunkirk Little Ships, including paddle steamer The Medway Queen, will start to arrive in Ramsgate. The Little Ships will depart Ramsgate for Dunkirk on 21 May and will be welcomed back to the harbour on 26 May subject to weather and sea conditions.

Ramsgate Tunnels will be taking part in the town wide commemorations and more information on what is going on in the town can be found here:
