St Albans Irish Club - Official

Several GAA teams play out of our club, plus we show live sports, have two darts teams, Irish Dancing and more The opening times listed here are the summer time openings and subject to minor variations. The club may also close later at the weekend if there are functions running. Generally the latest the club can open till is 1am with 45 minutes drinking up time. The club can also occasionally close early at the bar attendants discretion dependent on numbers in the club. We are always open to new members joining - if you'd like to become a member we would please invite you to call the Secretary on 01727 822251 to learn how you can do this. If you would like to book in a function at the club, please contact the Booking Officer on 07789 767770 to discuss availability- we'd love to hear from you and see how we can make your special event a reality. The club show all major UK sporting events throughout the year. Often the big boxing fights will be shown and if so we will publicise this via our Facebook so keep your eyes peeled. If there is something else you'd like on, so long as it doesn't clash with the general schedule we would be more than happy to accomodate this- just ask the bar staff and they will help you. The GAA Football and the Hurling are all shown during the season whenever matches are being played. When this clashes with the English football the three screens will be divided amongst football and GAA Football/Hurling depending on how many people are in for each. We have just started a quiz night every second Monday of the month, starting this September which we would urge you to come down and try! A relaxed atmosphere and great fun - give it a go! The St Colmcilles GAC play out of the Irish Club and you can often see their teams training or playing out on the pitches during the week. They've had some great successes over the years and we are proud of our association with them. The Irish Club has two darts teams in the St Albans & District Darts Association league and you will often find them battling it out with teams representing different pubs on a Thursday evening in the club if they are at home.
