The Friends of Parish School (FOPS) is a small group of volunteer parents at Parish Primary School, Bromley We fundraise throughout the year to enhance the education and environment for the pupils at the school.

We’re really proud and grateful to have been able to raise a significant amount of money this academic year. The FOPS committee worked incredibly hard and we were blessed with support from parents, staff and some wonderful local businesses.

We have earmarked some of this money raised for upgrades to the Reception year playground (as the main playground has now been done) and we have agreed to upgrade some classroom furniture where this wasn’t done a few years ago.

The FOPS committee members are having a well-earned break over the summer and will be back when school restarts in September for the AGM on 8th September and then our annual Teddy Bears Picnic to welcome our new Reception families.

If you are looking for something to do this weekend, then head to the The Bromley Court Hotel on Sunday 12th for their family fun day.

Bromley Court Hotel were our lovely Gold Sponsor at our Summer fair last weekend and were at the fair handing out leaflets.

If you didn’t get a leaflet, or weren’t able to make it to the fair, then you might not have realised how many events they run, which are all open to non-hotel guests! Everything from Caribbean nights, Salsa and Jazz evenings and Murder Mystery nights!

Finally, they have set up a special offer for Parish families. It is for upcoming events and Christmas events including Sunday lunch or brunch with Santa and a NYE party (it feels strange talking about Christmas in the middle of a heatwave), but you need to book by the end of August to take advantage.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to our Summer Fair yesterday! We hope you had the best day with us 🤩

Massive thanks goes out to all the parents, carers and staff who volunteered to help, from pre-planning and setting up to running stalls and areas and clearing down; events if this scale can’t happen without you!

We’d also like to thank our headline sponsor and Gold sponsor whose contributions both helped to put on our amazing inflatables arena.
Our friends at sponsored our bar and supplied us with enough ice to keep drinks cold all day 🙌🏼 and kindly donated the cold brew coffee we were serving at the bar.

Summer Fair prep is in full swing as we only have 3 days to go until the big day! 🤩

The last few games prizes are being organised, the bar and tuck shop are stocked, the BBQ meat is ordered for delivery Saturday morning, the inflatables have been confirmed and the pre-ordered wristbands are being prepped to drop off to classes this week👌🙌🏼

Months of hard work and planning go in to events of this scale and we can’t wait to welcome our school and local community to join us for an afternoon of relaxed family fun 🍦☀️🥳

FOPS delivered some welcome relief from the heat to everyone at school today in the form of ice poles! 🧊❄️
We dropped them round to each class after lunch and the children were so happy 🥰

It’s the Parish CofE Primary Summer Fair on Saturday 4th July (12-3pm). Bring your friends and family!

Join us for an afternoon of fun in our inflatables arena, featuring our 80ft obstacle course and more! Just £10 for unlimited bouncing 🤩
Thank you to our headline sponsor Reids Property and our Gold sponsor The Bromley Court Hotel for helping us to make our inflatables bigger and better.

The BBQ will be fired up and our licensed bar will be serving ice cold drinks courtesy of who have sponsored us and are sorting out the ice 🧊

Our variety of games stalls will please children of all ages and then cool down with an ice cream🍦from Mister Creamy Ice Cream Van

Our big Summer Raffle will be drawn at 2:30pm. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the fair (£1 each).

Prizes up for grabs include:
* 24 amazing rainbow hampers
* £100 Lego voucher from our sponsor, Reid’s Property
* A voucher for 2 spaces on the pop workshop summer school from (worth £300)
* A 4-class pass for Shimmi Shake Dance Studios dance studios

* One day of Summer School at Temple Academy - Temple Academy of Performing Arts

We are hoping for a visit from the fire brigade 🚒 and will have a live music set at 12:30pm featuring previous Parish pupils, some performances from local dance schools as well as free 20-minute workshops from 1:30-3pm hosted by D&B Academy (learn a new dance every 20-minutes).
Shimmi Shake Academy will also be performing at 2:15pm.

We’re really looking forward to a wonderful afternoon of fun with our school and local community.

We popped along to Bromley High Street yesterday to see the entries from local schools.

The Parish CofE Primary School entry was designed by two of our year 1 pupils from the Eco Team and is titled ‘Growing Together’

The quality of the entries this year is amazing and there are some really stunning designs - go a check them out until 27th June (outside the entrance to the Glades towards Bromley South).

Voting for the People’s Choice winner is now open - link in our bio or google the yourbromley website.
