This year, Eid al-Fitr comes amid a painful reality, where feelings of sorrow and hope intertwine, and we all live under the weight of loss and suffering.

We, at the Parents Circle – Families Forum, who have experienced the bitterness of loss, believe—despite everything—in the possibility of change. We hold on to the hope that this holiday will mark a step toward ending wars, putting an end to pain, and beginning a path toward a future of safety and justice for all.

Wishing you a blessed holiday, with hope that the future will bring a better reality.

Following the outbreak of the new war in the region, we, at The Parents Circle – Families Forum, express our deep concern over the increasing loss of life and the suffering affecting civilians on all sides.

We call for respect for human dignity and an end to the bloodshed, emphasizing that only agreements can bring security and stability to all peoples.

Our moral responsibility, as bereaved families who have paid the price of the conflict, obliges us to raise a clear voice for the protection of life, the promotion of humanity, and the pursuit of a safer and more just future for all peoples of the region.

At last, the second phase of the agreement in Gaza has been announced. We in the Parents Circle Families Forum have been waiting for this moment and we welcome this declaration. At the same time, it is important for us to stress that we expect more than just words. We expect action in order to begin the immediate reconstruction of Gaza, to stop the cycle of bloodshed, and to create a real sense of security on both sides of the fence – for Palestinians and Israelis alike.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is catastrophic. The population is suffering from severe shortages in all basic aspects of life, especially as the killing continues and winter and cold claim lives every day. Therefore, we emphasize that the second phase must be a concrete step toward alleviating the suffering of Gaza’s residents and toward turning commitments into tangible results on the ground.

We believe in the right of every human being to live in safety and dignity, and we call on everyone to act together to end the suffering and to build hope for peace and security for all.

We were deeply saddened to learn that in recent days 26 Palestinian families were forced to leave the village of Shalal al-Auja, near Jericho, after living conditions there became unbearable and dangerous for the residents.

Only a few months ago, members of the Parents Circle Families Forum visited the village to hear their painful stories and the suffering they endure, and to distribute school bags and stationary to children in preparation for the school year, in order to help protect their right to education and to a life of dignity.

That visit was a day of hope — a hope that is now being shattered. The village of Shalal al-Auja has been experiencing daily settler attacks and terror against its residents, their homes, and their livelihoods, all under the protection of the Israeli army. Now the residents have simply been broken and are leaving — exactly the outcome sought by the settlers and by the Israeli government.
We wish to express our solidarity and strengthen the people of the village. We will continue to raise our voices for freedom, security, justice, and peace for all people between the river and the sea, Palestinians and Israelis alike.

Mor Ynon lost her parents on October 7th, but not her faith in peace. In an oped for popular Israeli magazine "At Mag", she tells the story of the journey she embarked on, which led her to become the Chair of PCFF. And this Yom Kippur, the second since losing her parents, she asks us to look forward and not backward — toward reconciliation.

“Reconciliation is not weakness and not an attempt to blur the truth. It is a sharp statement: we refuse to go on living in a reality that produces more and more orphans and bereavement on both sides! So this year, as we say ‘sorry’ in our personal circles, I invite us to think more broadly: not only about forgiveness, which is not always possible and not always helpful, but about reconciliation — which is.”

600 Days of War, 600 Days of Pain.

600 days have passed since this war began, and the killing continues, the pain persists, and the destruction goes on. 600 days in which we have lost our children, our loved ones, our humanity.

We, at the PCFF, know all too well the meaning of loss, and we also know that there is no other path but the path of peace, mutual recognition, and a return to our shared humanity.

Today, we raise our voices loud and clear:
Bring everyone home.
Stop the bloodshed in Gaza and break the siege.
No more chaos and destruction.

Now more than ever, we need peace and reconciliation.

On the 77th anniversary of the Nakba, we are not merely remembering the past — we are living its ongoing consequences. The Nakba was not a single moment in history, but the beginning of a long and painful uprooting — a people stripped of their land, their freedom, and their right to live with dignity..Today, in Gaza, the Nakba takes on new and devastating forms: bombardment, siege, starvation, and mass displacement. In the West Bank, settlement expansion, racial segregation, arrests, and daily violence persist.

What Palestinians endure today is not a temporary crisis — it is the direct continuation of the policies of erasure and oppression that began in 1948.
We, at the Palestinian-Israeli Parents Circle – Families Forum, believe there can be no peace without justice, and no future without ending the occupation. Reconciliation begins with recognition — and with equal dignity for all. Justice is the only path to true peace — a peace built not on denial, but on acknowledgment, freedom, and rights. A future where two states live in peace, side by side.

Enough. There are Israelis and Palestinians who want this war to end. They want to see everyone return home safely and they want to stop living in fear and pain. They refuse to live in open bomb shelters with walls and fences dividing them.

Israeli and Palestinian members of the Parents Circle - Families Forum have paid the highest price. They believe that they must act together to find peace for both peoples.
