The Autumn Show is now open and with the lovely weather today we have put our popular plant sale outside in the hall’s garden.

This pretty cup of flowers was entered into the Floral Art category Coffee Time at our Summer Show earlier this year. If you would like to take part in one of our shows, just speak to a member of the society today.

It’s September and our Autumn Show is fast approaching this weekend!

But what caught your eye at our last Summer Show? For us, it was this Begonia Ferox with impressive thorny looking leaves. Unlike its Latin name suggests of Ferox meaning Fierce, surprisingly the “thorns” are not spiky to touch and are actually called bullae. This plant can be found growing on China’s limestone forest floors and makes a great houseplant in the UK!

Not sure what to do on this rainy day? We have our indoor Summer Show from 2-4:45pm in Mornington Hall, Chingford! You can dry off from the rain with tea and cake and there will also be a sale of some exhibits at the end.
