Pinasol Foundation

Pinasol Foundation The Pinasol Foundation is a Ghanaian NGO dedicated to helping poor children and their families. Our goal is to help break the enslaving chain of poverty.

The Pinasol Foundation is a humanitarian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. To us, it is an injustice for a segment of society to be hopelessly entrenched in poverty, Assisting children obtain an education and providing adults with a more reliable means of sustaining their families have been paramount among our priorities. Beginning in 2011, we started assisting with school fees. In 2012, we began providing start-up capital to disadvantaged people who wanted to start small businesses. Then in 2013, we began donating exercise books to school children in poor communities. Our focus is to help break the chain of poverty that contains to enslave these people. Our board members all come from humble beginnings and have experienced the unfortunate life situations that poverty produces. We empathize with the plight and hopelessness of the underprivileged in our society and intend to break this cycle by helping the youth. That is the reason we seek support from charitable individuals and organizations to help us meet our objectives.

🎉 15 Years of Impact. 15 Years of Hope.
Fifteen years ago, PINASOL Foundation began with a simple belief: every person deserves the opportunity to learn, thrive, and build a better future.
What started as a vision in 2011 has grown into a journey of transforming lives through education, skills development, climate action, safe water, child protection, women and youth empowerment, and community development.
Today, as we celebrate 15 Years of Impact (2011–2026), we pause to thank every community, volunteer, staff member, donor, partner, government institution, corporate organisation, and friend who has walked this journey with us.
Together, we have empowered communities, inspired hope, and created opportunities that continue to change lives across Ghana.
This anniversary is not only a celebration of what has been achieved—it is an invitation to build the future together.
Throughout August, we will be sharing stories of impact, celebrating the people behind our journey, reflecting on key milestones, and unveiling our vision for the years ahead.
Thank you for believing in our mission. The best is yet to come.
Together, we can achieve more.

🌍 Partnership for Greater Impact: 2026–2028
At PINASOL Foundation, we believe sustainable development is not built through one-off projects. It is built through trust, shared accountability, local ownership and long-term collaboration.
Over the next two years, we are working to deepen our impact across climate resilience, green skills and TVET, inclusive education, women's empowerment, sustainable agriculture and community development.
Our partnership model is flexible. We welcome organisations to join us as:
🤝 Consortium Partners
🌱 Implementing Partners
🧠 Technical Partners
🔍 Research Partners
🏘️ Localisation Partners
📈 Capacity Development Partners
Our approach is simple:
Explore → Co-design → Develop → Implement → Learn → Scale
We are not only looking for funding. We are looking for partners who bring knowledge, innovation, technical expertise, networks, research, resources and a shared commitment to working with communities.
Together, we can move from isolated interventions to stronger systems, stronger communities and greater impact.
📩 We welcome development partners, foundations, institutions, researchers, technical organisations and responsible private-sector actors to explore collaboration with PINASOL Foundation.
Let us build sustainable impact together.
Our 2026–2028 portfolio is grounded in institutional systems, partnerships, evidence and a clear theory of change toward resilient, inclusive and prosperous communities.

THE REAL IMPACT IS HEARD IN THEIR VOICES.
What happens when a child discovers that their future is bigger than the limited choices they have always known?
At our Dream Discovery and Career Guidance Fair, students and parents learned about career pathways, TVET opportunities and the power of making informed choices.
The most powerful evidence of impact was not only in the numbers—it was in what they said afterwards.
🎥 Listen to the voices of the students and parents.
Their voices remind us of an important reality:
Children cannot choose opportunities they do not know exist.
That is why career guidance, TVET awareness and early exposure to career pathways must reach more schools and communities.
At PINASOL Foundation, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their potential before making life-changing decisions about their future.
The need is clear. The impact is real. The next step is scale.
🤝 We invite development partners, government institutions, TVET institutions, schools and organisations to partner with us to reach more young people.
Together, we can help more children discover a future they can choose.

Every girl deserves a future she can choose. 💙

Teenage pregnancy can interrupt education and limit opportunities.

That is why safeguarding girls must go hand in hand with career guidance, education and access to TVET.

When girls are protected, informed and supported, they can stay in school, discover their strengths, gain practical skills and build independent futures.

Through our Dream Discovery and Career Guidance programme, we are working to help young people understand that their future can include many pathways—including TVET and skills-based careers.

💙 Protect girls.
📚 Keep girls learning.
🛠️ Open access to TVET.
🌱 Empower women to build their futures.

This important session was led by Marie Stopes Ghana.
We need partners to help us reach more girls and young women with safeguarding, career guidance and access to TVET opportunities.

👉 Who should be responsible for ensuring that every girl knows the career and skills pathways available to her?

Every girl deserves a future she can choose.
Teenage pregnancy can interrupt education and limit future opportunities. But safeguarding girls is not only about protection—it is also about ensuring that girls have access to information, career guidance and pathways to skills.
Through Pinasol Foundation’s Dream Discovery and Career Guidance programme, students are introduced to the choices available to them, including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
When girls are informed, protected and supported, they can:
✅ Stay in school
✅ Make informed career choices
✅ Gain practical and marketable skills
✅ Access TVET opportunities
✅ Build independent futures
This work is especially important because many young people still have limited knowledge about TVET programmes and the career pathways available to them.
Safeguarding, career guidance and access to skills must work together.
We are committed to expanding this work and invite development partners, government institutions, TVET institutions, schools and organisations working for girls and women to partner with us.
Together, we can open more doors to skills, dignity and opportunity.

A child cannot choose a career they have never heard about.
When we asked Junior High School students:
👉 What career do you want to pursue?
👉 What course do you want to study after BECE?
👉 Why did you choose it?

The answers revealed a serious gap.

📌 7 in 10 preferred General Arts.
📌 Only 3 in 10 considered Science or TVET-related programmes.
📌 Just 2 in 10 wanted to attend a technical school.
Many students did not know the TVET courses available—or even the career opportunities connected to them.

This is why career guidance must start early.

At PINASOL Foundation, we are working to help young people discover their talents, understand their options and make informed decisions about their future.
🤝 We are calling on development partners, government institutions, schools, TVET institutions and organisations to partner with us to scale Dream Discovery and Career Guidance.
Together, we can show young people more possibilities before they make life-changing choices.
What do you think should be done to help more young people understand TVET and career opportunities? 👇

🔨 From Carpenter to District Chief Executive: A Journey That Inspires
Success isn't determined by where you start—it's shaped by the skills you acquire and the opportunities you embrace.
At our Dream Discovery and Career Guidance Fair, Hon. Osei Adiyiah, former District Chief Executive and Special Guest of Honour, shared a powerful testimony that challenged the way many young people think about success. Before serving in public office, he trained as a carpenter. That skill not only sustained him and his family but continues to provide an additional source of income today.
His message to the students was simple but profound:

"A skill is an asset for life. No knowledge is wasted."
Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is more than learning a trade—it builds confidence, creates opportunities, promotes entrepreneurship, and prepares young people for lifelong success.

At PINASOL Foundation, we are committed to changing perceptions about TVET and helping young people discover rewarding career pathways through our Dream Discovery & Career Guidance Programme.
But we cannot do it alone.
We invite government institutions, development partners, corporate organisations, foundations, educational institutions, and individuals to partner with us to expand this life-changing programme to more schools and communities across Ghana.
Together, we can equip the next generation with practical skills, create employment opportunities, and build a stronger, more resilient Ghana.

🌍 VOICE OF CLIMATE RESILIENCE GHANA | WEEK 2
What does climate change look like where you live?

For some, it's rising temperatures.
For others, it's failed harvests, drying rivers, floods, disease outbreaks, or the increasing cost of food.
Climate change is no longer a distant threat—it is already affecting our livelihoods, our health, and our future.
When farmers lose their crops, families lose their income.
When water sources become polluted or scarce, communities become more vulnerable to disease.
When extreme weather disrupts education and local businesses, young people lose opportunities to thrive.
At PINASOL Foundation, we believe that the people most affected by climate change should also be at the centre of the conversation and the solutions.
That is why this week, through Voice of Climate Resilience Ghana, we are creating a platform for communities, young people, women, farmers, traditional leaders, researchers, and development partners to share experiences, ideas, and practical solutions that strengthen climate resilience.
💬 Let's start the conversation:
How has climate change affected your livelihood, your health, or your community?
Share your story in the comments. Your voice could inspire solutions that make our communities stronger and more resilient.
Together, we can build a Ghana that is prepared for the future.

🌍 Join the conversation. Be part of the solution.
