Big big news just in this evening 🎉

Battersea parkrun has won the Wandsworth Council Sports Club/Organisation of the Year tonight at the Wandsworth Moves Together Awards! 🏆

We have been recognised for bringing parkrun to Battersea Park and creating a free, inclusive weekly event that has welcomed over 40,000 participants since starting in October 2024! 🌳

This has included over 7000 people doing their first ever parkrun at Battersea! An amazing way to get active in the community 🏃

This award is testament to the hard work of over 50 volunteers each week who put on Battersea parkrun, and the over 1300 volunteers who have helped out since we started 🩷

If you haven’t considered volunteering maybe it’s time to give it a go! Come along to run, jog, walk or volunteer and come join our community 📢
