As we enter the month of June and begin to enjoy the warmer weather and longer days, we are reminded of the importance of staying connected, active and supported within our community.

June is a month that highlights wellbeing, carers, friendship and community spirit — values that are central to the work of Grace Organisation every day. Through our activities, personalised care and support services, we continue to promote dignity, independence and meaningful connection for older adults and vulnerable members of our community.

This Week is Dementia Action Week.

Many families are impacted by dementia, and Grace remains committed to providing patience, understanding and compassionate support for those living with memory challenges.

Through structured routines, warm relationships and inclusive activities, we help create a safe and reassuring environment for all.

One of the ways we support our clients is by ensuring that singing and music are regularly included within our activities programme — something Grace does particularly well. Music often brings joy, comfort and connection, even for individuals experiencing significant memory loss.

Research has shown that singing can help improve mood, reduce anxiety, encourage social interaction and stimulate memory recall for people living with dementia. The Alzheimer's Society states that singing can improve wellbeing, brain activity and mood, while also helping people feel more connected and supported. Studies have also found that group singing can positively support memory, relationships and emotional wellbeing for both people with dementia and their carers.

At Grace, we continue to use meaningful activities such as singing to help create moments of happiness, familiarity and togetherness for our clients.

We are delighted to welcome Doannelda Dublin as our new Senior Office Administrator.

With a strong background in process improvement, vendor management and organisational systems, she is well-equipped to support the continued growth and development of Grace Organisation.

Beyond her professional achievements, Doannelda is caring, nurturing and deeply spiritual. She joins us with a heart to serve, contributing to the wellbeing of our seniors while supporting the legacy founded by the late Daphne Marche, MBE, and the future vision led by our CEO, Paulette Yusuf.
