Great to have spent a few days at Longmore Training Camp for the 2026 London Area Sea Cadets summer camp.

We have 107 Cadets and 50 Adult Volunteers taking part in Adventurous Training, Duke of Edinburgh expedition training, Full Bore, Small Bore and Air Rifle shooting, power boating, sailing and rowing as well as fun team building evening activities

Congratulations to all the successful candidates that have passed the recent London Area Sea Cadets Senior Cadet Promotion Board hosted at HMS President

Had a lovely (warm!) visit to Greenwich, Deptford & Rotherhithe Sea Cadets today to drop off medals and clasps in preparation to them being awarded to long serving volunteers.

I do always love a visit to Greenwich for two reasons. The unit being my first command and the magnificent setting of the Old Royal Naval College

BZ to all the cadets and volunteers of the Volunteer Cadet Corps who were responsible for this spectacular performance.

A massive BZ to the successful candidates from London Area Sea Cadets and Southern Area Sea Cadets who have today completed the ODP1, Warrant Officer Selection Board and CPO and CSgt board at the recent super promotion board hosted at Brompton Barracks in Chatham.

The candidates have been assessed in multiple subjects including leadership, instructional competency, problem solving, ceremonial and current affairs.

Their hard work and professionalism has paid off with 1 promotion to Warrant Officer Class 2, 5 promotions to Chief Petty Officer and 2 promotions to Colour Sergeant as well as 5 candidates progressing to part 2 of their Officer Development Program.

A massive thank you to the Directing Staff team. If it wasn’t for their hard work and dedication the promotion boards could not be delivered.

Congratulations to everyone and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
