Please join me in supporting Walk for Lila and read her story (below), written by her Mum, Zuzana.

We will be walking with Zuzana on Saturday 30th May at 2pm. If you’d like to join, please meet at The Hut. We’ll hold a meditation session for the group to support the walkers.
Please share this far and wide!

Zuzana has a Go Fund Me page to support her efforts to maintain contact with Lila. Link in bio.

“This May marks 3 years of fighting to stay present in Lila’s life.

In May 2023 Lila was taken away from her home in London and taken to Algeria without my permission. She was only 5 years old.

I’m organising Walk for Lila to raise awareness about Parental Abduction and to find some strength and support to keep going.

The walk aims to not only raise awareness of my individual case, but also to highlight the wider difficulties many families experience in international child abduction cases and the need for stronger international cooperation and protection for children and parents affected by these situations. Especially where countries do not partake in The Hague Convention.”

Highlighting the the important work of Project 17 who we have worked with for a few years and who we saw last week for an online session.

“Project 17 supports a group of around 60 people with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF). Their aim is to raise awareness of the extremely difficult conditions that families with NRPF are forced to endure. This includes homelessness, hunger, poor housing conditions and many other detrimental effects on the wellbeing of families.”

“We work with families experiencing exceptional poverty to improve their access to local authority support…. We believe all children have the right to a home and enough to eat, regardless of their parents’ immigration status.”

As Spring returns, so does our next group. I am taking referrals and self-referrals for the next group beginning Thursday, April 9th.

This group may be the right fit for you if:

• You are on a waiting list for a London-based support organisation for women (inc. trans women).
• You are looking for a community group that uses yoga and movement as support for regulation, refuge, or expression, and importantly, embedded within a trauma-informed and survivor-centred framework.

Head to the link in bio to be added to the list. You will be contacted for a brief chat.

In the afterglow of the Winter Solstice and as we head into Yule, on this Christmas Eve, I wish you all gentleness, joy and community during this period and onwards into 2026.

Thank you for your enduring support.

Our 6-week winter group has now gently come to an end.

Thank you to all the private donors who financially contributed to the crowdfund to get the community groups starting again. Thank you also to those that share, like and/or comment on posts. Engagement on social media is valuable because it allows the programme to be seen so people in need can access the service.

Because of your generosity, there is additional resource to contribute to the next community intake, which will be in Spring. Please register your interest via the link in the bio.

These images perhaps speak best of MfH and this small community: threads that connect us; weaving golden threads of inner resources; creating tapestries of movement together; and the importance of interconnection (or being interwoven).
