“Make your friendships romantic.” Olivia, Anna’s best friend. 🥰

This National Best Friends Day, meet Olivia and Anna.

Olivia saw Anna speak on a panel for Bis*xual Visibility Day and came up afterwards to fangirl.

It didn’t take long before they became the best of friends!

“Anna inspires me. Her compassion, her kindness, her love. I feel so lucky to have met her.” Olivia says.

“My life and the world are a better place for her being in it.”

Since meeting, the pair of them have been busy doing what they can to support their trans+ friends, partners, siblings, and community.

Obviously that includes coming along to London Trans+ Pride!

Swipe to see the story of their friendship…

Tell us about your best friend in the comments! 💕

“I steward to be part of something much bigger than myself.” Loz, LT+P Steward.

Loz started coming to London Trans+ Pride to find their community. Two years ago, they decided to steward with us, to “support the wider trans+ community to stand up and fight against those who push us down”, they say.

According to Loz, the best part of stewarding is getting to meet people from every background and community. “At the end of the day, we all have one shared thing that brings us together, and marching as a unit brings a tear to my eye every time.”

“Trans people are currently in a position where we have to fight for our right to merely exist in the UK. So, if you’re an ally, now is the time to really stand up and support your trans friends. If not now, when?”

If Loz’s words have inspired you, sign up to be a steward with the link in our bio! Sign ups close on the 10th of June.

This Pride Month, we want to remind you that:

1. Pride was always a protest. Yes, glitter, rainbows, and Renée Rapp is fun, but don’t let it distract you from your anger.

2. There is no LGB without the T. It started with attacking trans rights, but don’t be fooled into thinking that the rest of the LGBTQIA+ community will be okay. ALL our rights are under attack.

Love and rage,
LT+P team x

London Trans+ Pride's Response to EHRC Guidance:

The trans+ community make up less than 1% of the UK population.

Despite this, we have been consistently used as the scapegoat for far-right propaganda around the world.

Last year, the Supreme Court redefined ‘s*x’, ‘man’ and ‘woman’ in the Equality Act as s*x assigned at birth only - without consulting a single trans+ person or organisation.

This week, the Equality and Human Rights Commission released guidance on how the Supreme Court ruling can be implemented in practice.

At LT+P, we reject this outcome entirely.

What this guidance means for trans+ people:

Trans+ people are treated as a third category - directed to use "third spaces" that most venues don't have.

Trans+ people are advised to use facilities matching their birth s*x where single-s*x exemptions apply - regardless of whether they hold a Gender Recognition Certificate.

Venues that exclude trans+ people without providing an alternative could face discrimination claims.

The fight is not over yet:

This guidance is not yet law. MPs and peers have 40 days to challenge it - and if they don't, it becomes law automatically. Contact your MP now. This is urgent!

There is no criminal law prohibiting trans+ people from gendered spaces

Harassment of trans+ people in any setting remains unlawful

Gender reassignment is still a protected characteristic and trans+ people are still legally protected from harm.

Know that advocates, lawyers, organisers and activists across our community are fighting for you - in every space available to them, behind the scenes and on the streets. You are not alone.

Write to your MP. Now. Today. This guidance is not yet statutory. That window is real, and it matters.

On Saturday 25th July 2026, march with us. This is our future, and our fight.

Our message to the lawmakers:
You cannot legislate us out of existence. We are not going anywhere.

Love, rage, and solidarity,
LT+P team x
