This week had a visit from Emma at Wandsworth Heritage, who shared some archive material about Wandsworth Christmas and winter-time in days gone by. Can you believe it was once so cold, the Thames froze solid and they had a funfair on it with an elephant! Many of our Grandfriends were also able to share their memories of knee-deep snow and buying gifts at Arding and Hobbs!
