This weekend, Mazury and Polska YMCA came together at the Polish Air Force Memorial to honour the Polish airmen who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇵🇱
It was a privilege to take part in this special annual commemoration and to remember the courage, bravery and sacrifice of those who served. We were proud to honour their memory through our Polish heritage, wearing our traditional costumes and camp chusty, and carrying our sztandar.
One of the most special moments was celebrating the 101st birthday of veteran Marian Stomka, Jadzia’s grandfather. ❤️ What an incredible milestone and an even greater privilege to hear his stories and share in the presence of someone who carries so much history.
The stories and experiences of his generation are a reminder of the sacrifices that made our freedom possible. It is our responsibility to keep those memories alive and pass them on to the generations that follow.

Lest we forget. 🕊️🇵🇱 29 sierpnia Mazury i Polska YMCA po raz kolejny wzięły udział w uroczystych obchodach ku czci poległych polskich lotników przy Pomniku Polskich Sił Powietrznych. 🇵🇱
Był to dla nas wyjątkowy moment, aby wspólnie oddać hołd tym, którzy służyli Ojczyźnie i złożyli najwyższą ofiarę w walce o naszą wolność.
Z dumą uczciliśmy ich pamięć poprzez naszą polską kulturę i tradycje — w polskich strojach, z sztandarem Polskiej YMCA oraz chustami obozowymi. ❤️🤍
Szczególnie wyjątkowym momentem było świętowanie 101. urodzin weterana Mariana Słomki, dziadka naszej Dyrektor Muzycznej - Jadzi Słomki.
Historie i doświadczenia jego pokolenia są dla nas niezwykłą inspiracją. To dzięki takim osobom możemy lepiej zrozumieć cenę wolności, dlatego naszym obowiązkiem jest zachować ich wspomnienia i przekazywać je kolejnym pokoleniom.
