This weekend, Lima Company headed out to St Martins Plain for our second big multi activity cadet training weekend – and what a weekend it was! ☀️🔥

We had over 100 dedicated staff and cadets turn out, all battling some pretty warm temperatures to work through a full programme of training serials.

A huge well‑done to every cadet who took part, and a big thank‑you to our staff for their hard work, planning, instructing, supervision, and support throughout the day.

🇬🇧 Happy National Volunteers Week! 🇬🇧

This week we shine a huge, well-deserved spotlight on the incredible volunteer staff of Lima Company, Royal Marines Cadets — the heart and soul of everything we do!

Every single one of these amazing people gives up their own free time, energy, and expertise to inspire, guide, and mentor young people across our community. They don’t just teach drill, fieldcraft, first aid, or leadership — they build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and life skills that stay with our cadets forever.

From planning training weekends and camps to delivering lessons, leading exercises, and being there every parade night — they do it all with passion, dedication, and that legendary Royal Marines spirit. They are role models, mentors, and friends, and they make every challenge feel achievable.

To every member of our staff team: THANK YOU. 🙏 You are the backbone of our organisation, and your hard work, patience, and enthusiasm do not go unnoticed. You help shape the next generation, and that is one of the most valuable contributions anyone could make.

If you see a Royal Marines Cadet volunteer this week — say thank you! They deserve every bit of recognition and praise.
