🎉 Project Successfully Completed! 🎉

We’re proud to announce that APF-UK, in collaboration with The Buddhist Association of Ananda College, Colombo, has successfully completed a special project at Sri Subodha School, Dehiattakandiya, Ampara. 🙏💙

As part of this initiative, we donated shoes to all the school children, along with essential educational items such as a Laptop, Multimedia Projector, Pencil Cases, Pencil Boxes, and Mathematical Instruments, etc. 👟💻📚✏️

The donation was officially handed over by our OAPF Coordinator in Colombo, Mr Tissa Abeywickrama, on behalf of APF-UK. 👏

This project reflects our shared commitment to supporting education and uplifting rural communities. Together, we continue to spread kindness, inspire learning, and create brighter futures for children in need. 🌟

🇱🇰 Visit to Ananda College – Centre of Excellence Building Project

During my recent visit to Sri Lanka, I had the opportunity to visit Ananda College and meet with the Principal, as well as the opportunity to visit the ongoing Centre of Excellence Building Project — a visionary initiative designed to provide state-of-the-art facilities and promote innovative educational practices, including groundbreaking STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education.

The Ananda Professional Forum UK (APF UK) is proud to have contributed towards this vital project, reinforcing our continued commitment to the advancement of education and the enduring legacy of our Alma Mater.

During the visit, I also had the pleasure of meeting members of the Ananda College Rugby Wing, as APF UK has continuously supported the school’s rugby activities over the years.

I was joined on this visit by Salinga Gunasekara, former Treasurer of the AOA UK.

📢 Our Next Project - Support for Underprivileged School Children
We are pleased to share that the Principal of Ananda College, Colombo, together with the Buddhist Association of Ananda College, has reached out to the Ananda Professionals Forum UK with a request to support a meaningful charity project.

🎯 The initiative focuses on providing study materials for underprivileged school children at Sri Subodha School in Dehiattakandiya, ensuring that every child has the tools they need to pursue their education with confidence. We successfully engaged in a similar project where we provided similar equipment to the underprivileged schoolchildren at the remote school of Manampitiya Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya in Polonnaruwa.

As Anandians, we have always stood for the values of compassion, generosity, and service to others. This is a wonderful opportunity for our community here in the UK to come together and make a lasting difference in the lives of young students in Sri Lanka.

🙏 We invite all our members and well-wishers to join hands in supporting this noble cause. Together, let’s empower the next generation through education.
