For more than 15 years, Learn@Sea has been a core part of Marine Society’s commitment to education at sea — breaking down barriers to learning and bringing opportunities directly to seafarers, wherever they are in the world.

Over that time, thousands of seafarers have been supported through Learn@Sea, gaining qualifications, building confidence, and opening doors to new opportunities both afloat and ashore. The service has played a vital role in professional development, career progression, and personal growth across the maritime sector.
And this is just the beginning.

As Learn@Sea continues to grow within Marine Society, the focus is on expanding access, evolving the service, and responding to the changing needs of seafarers today and in the future. The next chapter is about reaching even more seafarers and helping them shape a stronger, more sustainable future through learning.
Because learning doesn’t stop at sea — and neither do we.
