🥾 Challenge for a Cause Vietnam is officially underway!

After a hearty breakfast, our trekkers started their day with a tough 300m uphill trek to the villages of Na Mo and Na Meo, before descending into a beautiful valley and hiking through Ban Te village. After lunch the hike continues on narrow trails alongside a river and across rice terraces, bamboo gardens and over a suspension bridge to where they can rest their weary bones for the night!

Health issues that affect women, particularly menopause, are still often misunderstood or not spoken about openly, especially at work. Symptoms can affect energy, concentration, confidence and mental wellbeing, yet many people feel they have to manage quietly.

This month is a reminder of the importance of awareness, understanding and supportive conversations. When workplaces acknowledge women’s health and make space for honest discussion, it helps people feel seen, supported and better able to thrive.

🗓️ Join us next Wednesday for our October Wellbeing Talk all about the menopause, and how we can all contribute to breaking the 'taboos' around it at work.

This session will be led by “Mrs Menopause” Tanith Lee, a UK-based nutritionist, health coach and menopause specialist. Her work spans the physical, mental and emotional impact of menopause, covering areas such as exercise, nutrition and coaching, with a focus on helping women feel more confident, informed and in control.

Tanith brings both lived experience and professional expertise to the conversation and this session will focus on improving understanding, challenging stigma, and why supportive, informed conversations in the workplace really matter.

Richard brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across the charity and membership sectors. His previous roles include Chief Executive Officer of Care of Police Survivors, the national charity supporting families of police officers who have died on duty, and CEO of the Leicestershire Action for Mental Health Project, a community mental health and advocacy charity.
